And who is the fourth running back? Do you think we add another one, or is 21 staying for one more year?

I hope Lingard stays too. Four RBs is not a lot, considering we use at least 2 and usually 3 every game.

I would prefer that Wright stayed. What’s Lingard ever done?

in his limited appearances he's looked pretty good.

He is and is better off the edge. Between the tackles isn’t his strength.

25 carries for 140 yards. Healthy 5.6 YPC. That’s a great game. Too bad it is three years.

But another 136 if you add in his Miami stats!

TBF, it’s actually 7.2 this year. He has run hard in his VERY limited time. Also has two catches.

I too would like to see him in more meaningful spots. But hard to go away from MJ and TE.

He could possibly be a third down back at the next level. He does have usefulness , just not so much in this current offense.

Just calling it how I see it. Nayquan is getting zero carries. Lingard at least got a few. Their trajectories are going different directions. Either way, we’ll need at least 4 RBs.

His blocking is fine, I think the comment was in reference to 2 and 7 seemingly better grasping how to be zone runners in this scheme.

All I will say is, it appears as if Wright will transfer after the season, but will Lingard also if he doesn't get some real reps in the last games (including the bowl game)? If he does then he would be considered a key piece for next year. If he doesn't then I think he leaves also. Not a good thing talent-wise next year, but it is what it is...potentially.

7 is the most exciting back that Gators have had since (?), and 2 is not far behind him. Treyaun Webb is having a great season and will be our #3 back next year...it's a youth movement at Florida and numerous upperclassmen like Nayquan will wrightfully seek opportunities elsewhere.

Oh ok. Yes, there’s a certain level of patience needed as a runner in the zone blocking plays that Nay’quan didn't exhibit.

Wright isn't playing because his production has been impaired by last year's injury. He just isn't the same back. I think Etienne is the number one back, although Johnson is right there.

Johnson is 1, Etienne is 2 based on the number of carries last week.

Johnson is an absolute beast. It is what it is. Fortunate for Uf, unfortunate for NW.

I meant Etienne looks like he should be #1, although Johnson is right there. And let me say Wright has my respect for his productivity, and I wish him a great future!

They are both really good. We probably need Lingard to get a few carries to keep the rotation fresh.

Sure sounds like you answered your own question OP. Nobody thinks wright should be seeing time over Johnson or Trevor….and even lingard has passed him. Wright just isn’t good enough. Seems like a good kid but he aint seeing PT here
