Pre-Game Discussion: Missouri at FLORIDA (Homecoming) [10/8]

Yeah, for sure, we are not anywhere close to being able to just roll out the ball and show up to beat ANYONE, let alone Missouri or an SEC team.

We had better show up ready at noon.

 

Bad matchup for us. Lotta east west stuff and then deep shots and runs up the middle /counters … Hopper has been a beast for them on D. Drinkowitz owns us. Worried

 

Never underestimate other teams desire to beat the Gators. It's a major deal even if we're .600, or worse.

None at all. The worst defensive teams have to make a lot of tackles downfield. Dean and Torrence are downfield a lot.

 

What I saw from King doesn't get them to 6 wins.

 

Do you (or anyone) think that the short week with the Sunday game will have an impact on us? Practice time or something?

 

You hit it on the head, our defense will probably have all eleven guys twenty yards off the ball to prevent, anything getting by this line. Thank goodness for the red zone, all eleven players on defense will be only ten yards downfield, these are the adjustments being put in to stop Missouri. LOL

I sincerely hope this does not happen! Our season will be going through the motions if we lose.

 

No idea but maybe it will inject some urgency.

 

I'm sure our director of snap counting is aware, need some of the other guys to step up.

 

I can't wait to see how we progress tomorrow on this journey to reestablish an elite program. Enjoy the steps as we get better.

I don’t think the short week will have any impact. Most of the starters played limited snaps. If anything it helped us build depth with younger players getting snaps. I think it would have hurt us had we not played a game at all.
