So I’m in Lee county and There is no general internet due to Ian. I have Xfinity/ Comcast as my Internet carrier. But he’s the puzzling thing. I have internet on my iPhone. I use TMobile as my cell carrier. So my question is why can I not get internet connection either on my desktop or my TV( streaming)? All comcast says via text messaging is a tech is working on the outages and you are first to be serviced( yeah right!)
Frankly if necessary I’ll watch the game on Sunday on my little iPhone screen but wonder is there any way to Cast to my TV or desk top from my iPhone?

Not mentioned in your article (unless I skimmed over it) is using your phone as a hotspot. If you have a smart TV, turn on the hotspot on your phone, and connect your smart TV's wireless to the phone instead of your Modem/Router. The process is the same for a laptop, find what SSID (WiFi name) that your phone is broadcasting, connect your laptop to the Wifi network coming from your phone instead of the one coming from modem. Done. Your TV will act just like it did when it was connected to your Xfinity/Commcast (Assuming you have good cell coverage and good bandwidth for the data network). You might notice a difference if you had something like gigabit internet through your provider, and have a slow connection on your phone, but in general, it will work the same, as in all of the apps will work. You can good to Speedtest.net on your phone and get an idea of what your bandwidth (Speed, more or less) on your phone is.

One thing to keep in mind is the data plan for your phone. Depending on your plan, you may have data caps, or the data may be expensive.

If you have a desktop, USB wifi dongles are cheap these days, and can accomplish the same thing as a laptop. The process is the same. Somewhat related, I have a very cheap wifi dongle in my gaming PC, which is connected to my home wifi, and it's good enough to game on.
