Lol. Why even take the time to write this?

dude is either staying (most likely) or leaving for NFL. Why would he go somewhere else for less money than the NFL?

I don’t necessarily agree. With NIL money and a good insurance policy the risk is minimized. And another year of experience could have a huge impact on his draft status.

If he stays, he likely starts, get another year to develop with 1st team reps, and plays to showcase.

If he goes and isn't ready, he will be out of the league in 3 years.

The NFL loves the flashy gun slinger when he is on, but when he is off, they hate him. I can't think of a flashy gun slinger that is a backup in the league. Those backup guys are usually the Alabama QB types that are pretty smart at managing the game and letting the playmakers make plays. Those guys won't win you games, you just ask them not to lose the game with their play (interceptions).

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over Richardson going to the NFL at the end of this year. He obviously has a tremendous amount of physical talent but he still needs a lot of work reading defenses, on field decision making and his passing accuracy. If he can develop those things, with the physical gifts that he has he could be scary good.

AR hasn't shown he has developed into a NFL caliber QB this year.

If he is projected to be a top 10 pick I wouldn’t expect him stay. With his history of injury he probably should go.

Maybe not, but with his ceiling being higher than most, there are a more than a few GMs out there that feel it’s a good investment.

Every year the league drafts and chews through strong arm or athletic potential hardly anyone can remember. Let's hope the kid has time to grow and distinguish himself from the crowd rather than just fading away.

I predicted he would be 1OA

His talent is through the roof. He does virtually everything well.

Best bet for Florida is he’s in the 10-20 range and we can keep him to stay for another year.

But it wouldn’t shock me at all to see him light it up and end up 1OA. He’s the next Josh Allen

    He has NIL

    This is his hometown

    He has the starting job

This wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

If we want to keep him for another year, we have to hope he struggles with consistency. If he continues on as he has for the last two weeks, he's a top 10 pick and is gone.

*shrug* There's a few question marks on AR as a pro qb currently. Durability is one. The other is consistency. We've only seen up to game 5 as a starter but we don't know yet if the AR that showed up against UK and USF will make another appearance. Let's hope not...

If teams are willing to draft him top ten, then he needs to go. Even a backup for a couple of years is a pretty nice gig.

This post is assuming the defense gets better next year…that remains to be seen.

AR is great. Not sure he's NFL ready just yet either. But none of this really matters until we get some more big-ass defenders in the recruitment cycle. I mean dudes that are ready to contribute immediately. If we couldn't do it with Trask, Toney and Pitts with that defense, we'll need a defense like the old days. Hungry smash-mouth bad-ass guys that are always where the ball is.

Offensively, I thought Kitna was fabulous. If Miller is better, that's fabulous x2. We have some new up and coming receiver studs too.

The future is looking great. I'm excited to see the class Napier can haul in.

The whole fainting goats thing on the defensive side of the ball is an overreaction IMHO. Anyone can look at our team and see we are super thin on defense and have been for some time now. This will change. Just not until recruits make a difference. You can coordinate and shuffle players all you want- expecting different results might be overly optimistic. I don't personally see an immediate solution. That is not to say kids can't up their game in the short term and position themselves better.

Here's to kids upping their defensive game in the short term. Ha!:D

    Go Gators.;)

I'd say he needs at least two more seasons if he wants to be truly successful at the next level.
