I think more than the choice issue, people are concerned about the fallout from the choice (i.e. people being harshed for not possessing the right plate).

The third option should be "Go Ahead and Pull Me Over."

You have to get a license plate. It is a legal requirement.

For Tilly: I HATE the god part.

Anyway, the #s/letters is quite simple, shows great foresight & is a wee bit subversive. It will make the graduate student's job really easy when she is tasked with sorting the data so that it can be shown that the non-fearful are pulled over in a much greater proportion.

An aside: Volvos run red lights at a much greater proportion than other cars (in the DC area where the study was done). Any ideas why?

Reminds me of the Sneetches. A lot of aspects in American politics does these days.

I notice the OP's user name begins with letters and ends with numbers indicating he should be burned at the stake for witchcraft.

    It's because they're boxy but they're good.

They are commonly used by foreign embassy staffers, have diplomatic plates and don’t expect to get a ticket?

In agency theory (econ) there are two main classes of problems: adverse selection & moral hazard. I like this Q b/c the ans is that it could be either causing the behavior. The moral hazard arg is that safer cars make people drive worse. The adverse selection arg is that bad drivers buy safer cars in the first place.

I suspect we really did go to the Moon and planes really did bring down the WTC. But it is a hoax that America trusts in God.

My wife and I bought a Volvo C70 because we wanted a hard top convertible. Traded in our BMW Z4.

Worst decision we ever made. The car was junk.

It was about the time the Chinese bought Volvo.

Or they don’t like the government making them advertise whether or not they are religious.

They should offer an option with Spurrier’s picture on it. He owns the state so by definition he owns most of the vehicles registered there.

My wife had a used XC60 for a while. It was ok, but nothing compared to when the Swedes owned the company.

Which plate is the right one?
Thats the point. Plenty of cops out there that dont give a flip about someones faith when they flip the blue lights... In fact some probably hate God and would relish the opportunity.
