Maybe . . . but the RB room is still stacked. ETN is definitely the future for at least a couple more years. Johnson got dinged and I hope it's nothing but that could get Lingard to RB3. Only way I really see it right now.
Judging from what I have seen, I would not take any carries away from 2 or 7. Only carries up for grabs would be 5s, and I don't see much from LL that makes me think he should get those carries (or that 2/7 should not get more carries).
Yeah . . . I thought of that too. They have Henderson back there and maybe he's more sure-handed in traffic? IDK. Looks like Lingard would be more shifty after the catch.
No. Johnson and ETN are our top two playmakers. They need the ball more, not less. This isn’t an indictment on LL. He just has two NFL guys ahead of him
Great thread! I don't see the starters name anywhere. I'm no fan of #5. He is easy to get tackled, he can't outrun anyone, he brings nothing to the table. Let's see what 21 brings in a real game.
Didn't see the game but Lingard's stat line looked good for someone who hasn't seen the field all season and looked better than the other RBs. Even taking away the 20 yard run, he had a better YPC than Johnson or Etienne. Wright looks like the odd man out. Johnson is perfect for short yardage but I don't think he has a home run in him. IMO, Etienne is clearly the best RB but I'm optimistic about Lingard.
Henderson has turned into a decent receiver this season. As far as kickoffs are concerned...um, no. He's too slow out of the gate. He's fast once he gets going but his first few steps are not. We need a shifty zig zager type with soft dependable hands. Yeah, as mentioned, special teams need some special help. Go Gators.
He must not want the job. I can't see where he is taking something of value away. Time to try live fire auditions such as this.
