Gameday just went around the country to ask “who’s the most famous person in your phone”- PJ Fleck said John Legend, Sark said Snoop… AR said Wuerfell and Tebow. But Gouraige said “my mom, she’s a hard working woman”. I am so grateful he gave credit to his mom, the working class, a hard working black woman… dude coulda said anyone but he said his mom and I think that says a lot about who he is. More people should value hard work over being famous. Go Gators
Awesome thread and post @gainesvillegreen44 ! My Mom turns 100 in February and still stays tuned into all the Gator games - basketball included. Some of the emails she sends me after a game are classic! I've posted some in the past, some may remember. We both live in the same town so I've been helping her with her needs over the past few years, especially after she stopped driving. Moms are very special. They should take precedent over everyone else!
An amazing woman… “She only came with the clothes on her back,” Gouraige said. “So coming over here was pretty hard. She had to go to school and work three jobs. Could barely speak English. She only knew Creole and French, so she struggled.” Florida commit Richard Gouraige motivated by mother’s triumph from Haiti.
My mom too. She loved Tebow and got the NFL package that year Broncos/Tebow made the playoffs. She only make it to 91 1/2, but had a decent run. Miss her all the time. Go Gators.
There is a special place in Heaven for moms. It has got to be somewhere in the front row. My dad is my best friend. We can sit down and shoot each other straight. Cuss, joke debate, and disagree, within the boundaries of respect. But I am,and will always be a Mamas boy. And for any of my daughters,a mamas boy will have to be the one calling. As long as I got something to say about it.
So, then three jobs and three languages. That impresses me. She may not be "famous", but, she's obviously a good hardworking person.
My almost 90 y/o mother, if she had to save either Tebow or me from drowning, it would be Timmy and I’d go under lol
I was closer to my mom...she was a great role model..helped shape who I am today..she was my best friend...I could tell her anything...sure do miss her...
