Good to see folks getting OFF the injury report and not them being added to it

Dean by all accounts is a good guy and a great Gator. He doesn’t deserve this venom. But this is where it falls on the shoulder of a coach to realize he’s putting a player in an awful spot. At this stage Dean isn’t good enough to get full time reps. But he’s giving it 100%

Boone has been very good. Holds the outside edge like he should.

How are the coaches putting him in a bad position, when it’s Dean who is out of position, often? The tape shows this. Freshman are doing what they are supposed to, and playing better than the older players. Does that not prove the coaches are doing something right?

update: your words have been clarified and I would agree, don’t play him, if he’s not ready. Have to assume it was a seniority thing, and they hoped that he would play as a team, and not for himself.

I think they are referring to the fact that them coaches are playing him - they keep putting him out there even though he is struggling. Like Delance the past few years. Eventually, it’s on the coaches if they continue to trot out the same player who struggled over and over. Ain’t the kids fault. He isn’t going to bench himself.

Thank you for the clarification and that would make sense. I’m sure they had hoped he’d be a team player, but he’s still playing with a “Me” mindset, and it shows.

Coach is putting him in a good spot. on the bench for now. It has been a long time coming and it is about time these guys deal with a coach who will sit them when they're not performing.

Not to be too cynical, but this is a good week to play younger players and see how they respond to being given a shot. Time will tell if this an anomaly, or how playing time will be handled in the future.

I meant a bad spot in terms of public perception. Not a bad spot on the field. CBN could put me out there and I’d give it my all, I would still perform poorly. That’s how I see Dean. He’s trying but he’s not good enough.

I noticed you clicked disagree when I told you it wasnt what he meant... but he is praising Diwun getting playing time as I believe Bazza has beed a fan of his for a while.

Anyone who thinks Bazza is praising an injury hasnt read many posts by him over the years.

I go by the english meaning of what people post and not some assumption based on history. If he didn't write what he meant that's on him. He's also not the only one.

Haven't read the entire thread, but it sure feels like some Gators are happy about an injury. Could be wrong

I’m skeptical of an injury.. not happy.
