Going to be a busy day for you tomorrow. Just filled the boat and spare cans. I think surge and rainfall inti saturated system are going to be biggest concerns. Weve both been hurricane pruned pretty good. Just got to secure the ancillary stuff.

No one knows for sure what is going to happen, but EC-Fast is showing a similar path now.

Spent half the day on the tractor digging a swale downhill from me trying to slow water from inundating my neighbor. Had a big rain this afternoon that completely filled that so will try to deepen it tomorrow.

Run water downhill with a built in level.. I can do that . Its the whole not putting 2 things in the same place part that gets me everytime. Over under on number of sinkholes we get from tthis storm

Ughhh…..this is the last Euro run. If this happens Tampa is largely spared, but a stronger storm crushes Bradenton Sarasota because it makes landfall earlier and doesn’t have time to weaken.

I think it all depends on the barrier island and when the house is constructed as well as the strength of storm.
My old house in Ormond built in 61’ CB and heart of pine trusses, we left for Micheal due to the left leaning track and never lost power. That’s on the peninsula at about 15 ft elevation
we stayed for Irma the next year and barely knew it was blowing. Some old houses are built to last.

Sadly for some of us this makes it worse.
The latest radar makes it look as the the storm is moving nearly due North with falls inline with this model run.
The frontal boundary may be having some effect earlier than the GFS predicted.

Not that it won’t change over the next 48 hours, but this is basically a worst case scenario (short of higher winds) if this official track came to pass.

Sometimes refreshing helps, and sometimes it doesn't. It's maddening.

Has anyone heard if they have stopped south bound traffic on i75 or i95 to help people evacuate?

We were planning on taking the kids to Legoland once we return from Asia (flight leaves tonight). We also have the option of rebooking our flight back and if there is no way to make it to Legoland, it might be a better idea to stay here a few more days.
