What a game to have elite guys at. Bet some tell Billy in the locker room they want in and to be part of UFuture!!!
Ricks didn’t make it. IMG’s game got rescheduled to Saturday. I assume this is in reference to Ricks getting a pick in that game.
Just got back from the game. I was critical of G-ville in the past as a potential reason recruits aren't coming to UF. I was wrong. I finally had an extra day to do an official tour and feel Gville is a reason TO COME TO UF. The area from 13th Street to University Blvd to Archer Road has received a significant face lift. Luxury student housing, updated campus buildings, Sorority row is a bunch of brand new mansions, new restaurants, renovations to old buildings, etc... The athletic complexes are insane! All 2000 of them. Every time we turned a corner there was another athletic complex. But the game-day experience was special. The recruits have to be impressed. The pre-game started early and never slowed down prior to kick-off. The stadium was crazy loud. The fans hung around after the game. The party never stopped. (And the party is all on campus and not all spread around the city like Athens or Tuscaloosa) Gainesville on game day is on another level. Every Utah fan I spoke with felt there is nothing remotely close to this in the Pac 12. Napier's dedication to recruiting is the final piece of the puzzle. UF is about to become a top tier football program again. I'm certain of it.
Thanks for the report. I agree. But I have always loved Gainesville. Imagine if you're a recruit, and you loved seeing all you described, and then add in the impressive home base of the Heavener.
Class is filled out a decent amount. I don’t think it’s a big need to build more momentum. Just straight going after big boys now. Just my thoughts at least
Nice to attend college on a college town as well. You can always go to or live in a city, but only one time in life to experience college, as it was intended.
