Trump isn't facing criminal charges in NYC. But the Trump Organization is also a defendant in the Wesselberg trial. If Wesselberg takes the deal, then the Trump Organization is also guilty. Facts that will help the civil suit against the Trump Org, which is facing a potential corporate death penalty in the suit. Trump pleading the 5th over 400 times won't save the Trump Org once Wesselberg accepts the deal. Once Wesselberg pleads guilty, Wesselberg can no longer plead the 5th!

Even if the guy is fully cooperating (which it seems he’s not exactly), 150 Days for 15 *felonies* seems absurd.

I hope they don’t indict him unless they have enough to nail him to a cross. Unless there is ironclad proof of nefarious intent or he’s already shared/sold something I hope this is the end of this.

I've told you repeatedly that intent is the standard. Trump didn't intend to break any law. Done.

Trump had no intent to comply with the law which is why it required 3 attempts to regain the material.

So highly sensitive, classified materials are stored illegally at Mar a Lago. Theoretically, if the information falls into the wrong hands and our national security is at risk, Trump gets off scot free because he didn't intend this to happen?

And Trump knew he was breaking the law just possessing the classified materials. Trump ignored the subpoena.

How do you figure that given that Trump didn't give back all the documents when he was subpoenaed to do so? It seems like that is a sign of intent rather than an honest mistake.

Forget debating Trump’s intent with someone who doesn’t know the legal standard. And, None of us can offer assessments on this subject because we don’t know all of the facts surrounding this. We have some disturbing snippets, but not enough.

When Trump releases the surveillance video of the search, it will be like the voting precinct stuff on an acid steroid cocktail. Crazy Town is fitten to be back.

Man, are those journalists going to get an education about leaving the plantation. Can't have a dialog that is different from, "he is EVIL!"

Methinks they are going to become "friends of the Clintons" pretty soon, if you get my drift.

Oh well, nothing to watch here folks (you know who I am talking about). Back to your business of being righteous and watching cute cat videos on YouTube. "They" will let you know when it is time to wake up and kill the country in order to save it. Bless their (and your) hearts.

Ironically this is exactly what seems to be happening with Liz Cheney substituting “flawless” for “evil”.

You think that article is favorable to Trump? I suggest you read it again. Good for the FBI. Trump Has not been president for a year and a half. He is not entitled to keep a “stash” government documents no matter the subject. Particularly classified documents to any level. Including about the Russian interference in the 2016 election. Good for the informant to tell the FBI.

“Aides to former President Donald Trump believe that a member of his family may tipped off the FBI about the presence of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago

Per the sources, some aides were convinced that only a family member would have known to point agents to a particular leather-bound box, as well as knowing the location of Trump's safe.”

Trump aides suspect family member is Mar-a-Lago informer: Guardian

More and more fingers are pointed at Jared. He pocketed the two billion from the Saudis. What does he have to lose?

Agree although I suspect that Weisselberg will receive special accommodations in view of his age and notoriety.

A reasonable guess although there could be multiple witnesses that provided the information to the FBI/DOJ. It will probably be decades before we actually know their identities.

Agree. No way that guy will ever see the inside of Rikers. He'll likely go to the same place Michael Cohen went, the country club for white collar criminals.
