Cheney voted with Trump 93% of the time. Conservatives who voted against her, then, did so for another reason, namely, because of cult of personality. History is replete with examples of the ultimate tragedy for the masses when that happens. I know you love this country and wish you could see the danger.

They'll pour 40-70 million into her presidential run specifically to siphon votes.

    "Very principled."

Tim Ryan has voted 100% with Joe Biden and is an acolyte of Nancy Pelosi. He's going to get shitcanned in November for it. Timmy Boy isn't the good Catholic lad Ohio originally sent to Washington to represent them in the house. I hope he has his backup plans in place because he will be joining Liz Cheney in being out of government work.

“Her loss was also the latest sign that the central organizing principles of today’s Republican Party are tethered less to specific policies — she was a reliable vote for much of the Trump agenda — than to whatever Mr. Trump wants at any given time.

“Most recently, that has meant lashing out at federal law enforcement authorities over the search of Mr. Trump’s Florida home for missing materials with classified markings. More broadly, it has meant embracing his obsession with denying his 2020 defeat and amplifying his false claims of election fraud, regardless of the bloody fallout nearly 20 months ago or its destabilizing effect on the nation.

“You could write the history of the modern Republican Party over the last two years, and what does Jan. 6 look like? A hiccup,” said William Kristol, the neoconservative writer who co-founded Republican Voters Against Trump, a group spending millions of dollars to oppose Trump-backed election deniers. “The price of admission to today’s Republican Party is turning a blind eye to Jan. 6.”

Just a reminder. While SurveyMonkey isn't among the more reliable polls even subtracting 5% from Ryan's totals in the last three he still holds a sizable lead over JD (I now kowtow to Trump even though I was once very critical of him) Vance.

By the way this a fund raising ad from JD Vance.
Trump-endorsed JD Vance is behind in the polls.

odd thread. Some think they are “owning the libs” because trump followers voted, not against a liberal, but against a staunch conservative. Because she didn’t drink the maga koolaid.

If you watched the 1/6 hearings, you'd have seen the proof. But... proof alone does not equal conviction. There are very real reasons not to indict President Trump, which supersede a simple calculation of innocence vs guilt. A non-conviction, would do far more harm than a conviction would do good. That is the conundrum facing the DOJ.

"Worried about that day" and "not caring about it" aren't the same thing.

But that isnt what they are implying and LC isnt about to let MSNBC censor her and they aren't about to let her speak her true opinions on issues in any real format.

70% of Americans dont " care" or " worry" about it at near the level that some wish they would. For better or worse, that is just the way it is.

Most of us are just too busy to even really know whats up and down.

What most people do know is a tank of gas has cost single moms $80 when it used to be $50... And interest rates are going up ...and rent is through the roof...and covid is still a thing.

They know all that without turning on any hearings or reading a single news article.

Those are the areas the winners will focus on.
