I was concerned about the rumors of SIGINT breaches. This would be worse. Much worse.

Trumpco has opened up the hose of bull pucky as they try to find a narrative to get them out of this situation:

    1. Obama took classified docs to Chicago. (He didn't, which the National Archives verified, but regardless this is a de facto confession of wrongdoing by Trump saying it's ok to leave with this material.)
    2. The FBI planted evidence in the boxes of documents. (We will return to this one).
    3. Trump can just think of material as declassified and it is even if he tells no one. (Totally debunked by everyone. Again, here is an admission he has stuff he shouldn't and that it is all legitimate material debunking #2 on this list.)
    4. There was a standing order that anything he took to the residence in the WH became declassified. (No and this is taking us clearly into the throwing ketchup at the wall and seeing what will stick territory).

The fiction writers at Fox are hard at work at what will become #5 on this list I'm sure.

I saw a news report somewhere that Trump himself watched the whole search on closed circuit TV.

Only the brightest and most flexible minds are in military intelligence. Your brother must be special as a J5, and your nephew for securing an appointment to WP.

In this day and age, seems like the documents should be able to decide how it wants to be labeled

A sense of dominion over these faceless names? The fact he could end each of them, at any time, with a phone call.

No chance those are mementos. *If* the Newsweek is true, I don’t think it’s coincidence he’d be hanging on to the very documents that would have the most $$$ value to foreign adversaries. Nuclear secrets and spy lists. That doesn’t just happen by accident. Traitor President doing what he does.

As Trump obviously didn’t move these boxes himself, whomever did needs to have his ass hauled in yesterday to explain how this went down. Trumps lawyer (who signed a false affidavit that all classified material was returned) better find himself a (better) lawyer.

The spy list is interesting though I'm sure it was provided to Putin long ago.

He's not in any situation... the Media is inventing more BS... I think the SCOTUS will torch Biden and his flunkies on this illegal RAID.

Former Gorsuch Law Clerk Torches Legal Argument Behind FBI's Mar-a-Lago Ransacking

So, classified documents were reportedly removed, which means the liberal media, Democrats, and their favorite pal, Liz Cheney, will be doing cartwheels soon. Yet, this isn’t the win the Left thinks it is for a few reasons. Trump had declassified the items already in his home, and the president is the ultimate authority on such materials and is not subject to the classification statutes and regulations (via NBC News):

Mike Davis, a former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, took an ax to the crux of the legal arguments justifying the raid. And this isn’t some new interpretation; the Supreme Court affirmed it in 1987. Davis listed numerous occasions where the president acted in this capacity regarding classified materials, some of which we even saw in real-time. Remember when Barack Obama told then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that he would have more flexibility to negotiate with Moscow after the 2012 election? That’s a classified conversation but not an Espionage Act violation because Obama was the president. He added that the federal government over-classifies everything. A lot of the hysteria is nothing new. It’s just that Trump won, and therefore, history began in 2017, according to most liberals in America. And sorry to burst another bubble, but Donald Trump can never be charged with mishandling classified information. I’m sure Liz Cheney and what’s left of her crew are upset about that too.

His best defense is to tell the believable truth:
    — I never thought I was going to have to move.
    — I had things all over the White House. It was sort of like Animal House
    — when the movers came, someone had to clean up the place and we just told them to stuff everything under the bed and in the bathroom into those boxes. I never saw the contents.
    — the lawyers should know. I don’t recall what was under the bed and in the closet. Some items I recall were in the closet. Yes, Melania’s
    — did I mention I am incompetent and talk to myself all day?

Donald Trump has not been president since January 20, 2021. And Obama’s conversation with Medvedev was not a national defense secret. There were no military capabilities discussed in that conversation. Nor was it a classified conversation. He was talking to a head of a foreign government on a public stage about negotiating the extension of a treaty that everyone knew was being negotiated.

So, Mike Davis's (staunch conservative and contributor on Fox News) defense of trump is, yep, what about Hillary......

"In contrast, Hillary Clinton was never the President of the United States. She (HRC) didn't have the constitutional power to declassify records and keep them on her illegal home server."
