Unfortunately for those that want to see maximum punishment on this parasite, there is a cap on punitive damages based on a multiple of the awarded compensatory damages ($ 4 million). Looks like the cap is 2X the compensatory + $750K.

You may see something larger from the jury but the judge will cap it.

    boo.

Hopefully the upcoming legal actions will inflict as much as possible on this cockroach.

Maybe, and today’s testimony was eviscerating. I just have very little faith in the jury hammering this nail. This case alone should really wipe him out.

I hope I’m wrong and they come back with a giant figure.

Well the economist who examined his records estimated his net worth at as much as a quarter billion dollars. At that amount lots pf people will go Full Unimaginable.

For me the more unimaginable part is that a $1/4B worth of scum, in tiny individual amounts, exists to fuel this empire. Many, many thousands of people consistently funding this product.

    That’s more like it.

But a previous poster claims the award is capped, and I’ll take that at face value.

But I suppose even then there is value in setting a bar for future awards that can actually be awarded.

Even if this gets capped, there are two more trials behind it.
    He’s going to get crushed.

Good read in the potential unlawfulness of the statutory cap. So best case, Jones is shelling out millions for a few more years to fight this judgment.

I dont know. His "admitting" he was wrong but he just didnt know it (yeah right) at least kills the conspiracy I hope.

This is an important death knell to this theory.

This one is sort of up there with the Griner trial in Russia. There is some smoke, but the "results" don't quite measure up to the transgression. And certain "fans" get to cheer the decisions by The Noble Ones.

I am sure if he was a person from a different cloth who proclaimed "Black Lives Matter never burned down any buildings!", the "fans" would be quite forgiving of their assertions. Besides, the folks who were burned to death can't be distinguished from the burned buildings they were in and so can't be witnesses in a trial. Fake News!

All they want is to be "understood." Bless their hearts.

Guys, I hope plenty of you implicitly recognize rooting against The Raiders is not the same as the NFL deciding to vacate all their wins for "the greater good." We ALL lose when we allow The Noble Ones to practice "justice" without our oversight and remediation.

One of your more ludicrous whataboutisms.

Only one side of our political spectrum is against objective truth and it's not the one that is ok with some of what BLM does.

I don't know anything about the law and bankruptcy (except that I've basically been bankrupt all my life), but the families might not see much money if Jones or his company (or what's the difference) filing for bankruptcy is successful.
