He goes to my church. I talked with him 3 weeks ago and he said he was going down to UF at the end of July. I don't think he ever received an offer from UF.

His dad is a dawg but said he would love it if he went to UF. He told me that SOS put him on the spot when he was being recruited. SOS told him if he doesn't commit, he'll never win an SEC Championship or beat the Gators. His cousin, Dexter Daniels, committed.

I don't see how this kid couldn't be useful on our team. His father likely knows more about the LB position and defense than Bateman.

 

I'm guessing you saw the live video of the Heartbreakers playing Southern Accents. That's one of Mike's favorite guitars along with his 12-string Rickenbacker and his vintage Fenders.

Mike just came through town a couple of months ago with the Dirty Knobs. I missed that but hope to catch him if and when Fleetwood Mac comes to Chicago.
