Reds hosting My Os this weekend, so getting to see Reds in depth for first time in,,well ever..lol Today is only 16th meeting ever betwen the 2, including the 5 in 1970 WS.

Reds started 5 SEC players last night and brought in another one to close game on mound. India, Senzel, Fraley, Farmer, Papierski, and RP Hendrix

India had a big night and big series so far. Triple shy of cycle lastnight. How long has he been gone from UF btw?? 3-4 years?? Didnt think it was possible to grow that much hair in that short of time..lol

It seemed like the Reds were always on Monday Night Baseball in the 1970's.

Rough year with injuries. Just recently pulled his batting average up to .250.

Sparky Anderson a not so good player became a great manager. Big Red included Johnny Bench. Bench dated a girl when he was in minor leagues who was a buddy of mine who was also dating her at same time. He never liked Bench after that. That team was loaded.

My growing up buddy and teammate through HS and American Legion baseball is Ray Knight. We both had signed at Chipola and then both were drafted in the third round. I went to school and Ray signed with Cincinnati so he broke into the MLB with Sparky as his manager.

Ray has always been outspoken with his opinion that Sparky Anderson was the best manager that he ever played for. As a matter of fact when Ray knew he was going to retire he got himself traded to Detroit where Sparky was manager and they were in the dugout together for Ray’s last year.
