I don't know if the results we're seeing now are the same results we'll be seeing by signing day. There may be more truth in TrueGator's post than we realize. These kids need to sign LOIs and they can't until December at the earliest. This feels like the underage keg party that got out of hand and the cops are just up the street waiting for the right moment to make their move.

For the top 100 kids and parents, it is all about the money.

    Always has been.

    Always will be.

Those schools paying illegally will suffer zero consequences.

    History has proven this.

Will those who choose not to cheat be able to compete for a national championship against those who cheat? No. The talent divide will be too great.

    History has proven this.

    It is simply reality.

Probably true, but, I guess what I'm really getting at though is that nothing else matters in "recruiting" anymore except who has the biggest cash stack, be it a dirty one or a "clean" one. It's all come down to a financial transaction that is mostly hidden from almost all of us. It's like watching a bank operate (from the street). Not much fun anymore.

Never thought the Canes would be the "alternative" to OSU, Bama, UGA, OK in recruiting this year but here we are getting pwned by them over and over again for recruits.

Need some good news soon, if we don't sign Mclain we can say goodbye to any slim chance we might have of finishing in the Top 10 this year.

Getting caught on video with illegal blow, hookers, and millions in illegal funds doesn't carry the weight it used to, just ask Hunter.

If Freeze leaves Liberty, that would put him at the top of their potential list of replacements.

Also, I think it was Nick Delatorre that said Billy had four guys with 100 carries last year.

True but I believe it’s always been that way. Orr said his entire class was bought. There’s just way more money involved now. The big stink now is that the school wants all the money and the boosters are now having to give whatever portion to the players. Tampering with how that money flows to payers may be considered trying to “ limit” their NIL. I’m sure schools are trying to figure out a way to limit the loss of money but they have to be careful. They also have to be careful about how they buy their talent. What’s the proper way to buy talent(cheat)?

There’s no doubt as these classes fill out, schools will decide where to spend their money and will either not pay guys that have committed or decide to offer a little bit more for flips

If you'd prefer to play with a handicap and get enjoyment from watching a team go 7-5 most years with an occasional great season of 9-10 wins that's fine, but you're in the minority.

It always happened at some schools. Now it happens at all schools.

This might be a minority view around here, but I’m not so sure it is in the whole gator universe. I think there is a reason the schools that are seriously striving to be known for academic excellence don’t seem to participate as much in “bags” and now the shady part of “nil”. The school’s reputation is paramount and negatively affecting that for football really isn’t worth it.

Miami is a decent school, so is Georgia, but they aren’t striving to be the elite of academic institutions, and football is clearly more important to them. Most of the true “bag” and now “nil” schools are marginal academic institutions.
I’m torn because I would love to be elite at football, but in the end I’m ok with only having pockets of success if that avoids the questionable actions that would affect the schools reputation.

I understand others feel otherwise and I understand that. I’m all for true nil, but this pay for play free for all just isn’t consistent with an institution of higher learning. Hopefully it evens out and we are left with a more level playing field, but I’m not holding my breath.
