If it's about more money we lose with these teams.

Gonna be funny to see Miami spend so much and still not be relevant.

Ruiz seems willing to finance a losing product. There’s even talk of him financing a new stadium.

This conference realignment might just break them. A weak ACC is in their best interest.

he’s been talking about that for a few years, mostly running his mouth about plans that neither the city or university know anything about.

Oh sure, must be in the everglades. Dude will end up in some type of financial scandal sooner or later, probably even with NIL.

I am just writing off recruiting for a few years... Nil is going to implode on these schools and then the booster money will dry up.

Once all this money is spent on players that are nothing more than the latest 5 star bust, or these players get busted buying drugs or whatever with the money, schools and boosters will start pulling back on spending.

It would really be something to find 85 kids that money didn’t turn their heads.

I think if the ncaa doesn’t do anything, and they won’t, the NIl market will
Eventually flatten out. After all of the Big Money alum get tired of spending the cash for lack of results. Take ewars (sp?) at Texas. Whoever is footing his NIL bill will probably be upset when arch takes his job in a couple of years. I think in about 5 years this will calm down.

Why wouldn’t they be relevant if they win? Also, they have commits we wanted and are fielding a top class. It’s exactly what is needed to build a program. Why would that fail? We had a good weekend but we certainly need a few more. If we do not recruit really well we will not be relevant either.

Just don’t think NIL is sustainable. A lot of programs are already struggling. Do they really want to take funds from athletic department or university alumni donations for NIL? Cost of coaches, facilities, … just exploding all while attendance is dropping. How many will pay $8 million for a player that starts in year 3, if ever? Heck, even $1 million is a waste. Pay the starters, not the HS kids

Not me. The Gators are doing okay right now. Actually better than okay. I don't think it's sustainable but Napier is holding his own at the moment.

If you stockpile talent like Miami appears to be doing, I don’t see how someone can honestly think they won’t be relevant
