We should find out tonight or tomorrow by noon at the latest. LSU is absolutely tearing the portal up but Sully with just three moves as arguably helped his team as much if not more IF we get Waldrep.

I understood Mac G to be headed to Arkansas and Pogue to Ole Miss.

I haven’t seen it discussed much (perhaps missed it or perhaps forgot). Rivera is draft eligible but I haven’t seen him with a particularly high draft grade anywhere. I don’t see how he can really improve his status though as his bat seems to be what it is.

2020 was the shortened season so let’s ignore it for the sake of argument. He has had 2 real seasons at SS. In 2021, he fielded .935. In 2022, he fielded .962.

Compare that to some Gator greats (and yes I know fielding percentage doesn’t take into account range):
Liput: .970 in 2018 (his only year at SS)
    Guthrie: .960 in 2017, .970 in 2016
    Martin: .972 in 2015, .935 in 2014
    Fontana: .974 in 2012, .960 in 2011, .986 in 2010(!)

IF Rivera does in fact come back, some improvement would put him in discussion with some really good defensive SS over the last 12 years. I associate Nolan as the best UF has had that I have seen with my own eyes. Not sure Rivera can get to that level but locking down the SS position would be huge, IF he comes back.

Josh has improved a lot fielding. If he works on hitting the breaking ball and gets better at it he could have a big senior year.

I don't think he made any errors at SS in his time at FLORIDA.

    Go GATORS!

I am sure that he did, but I can't remember one.

At the time I told people that he was too small for the majors. I should never be a scout. Wasn't he the World Series MVP at all of 5' 6"?

Justin Tordi deserves a mention in this conversation. Nobody can touch Fontana in terms of being a rock solid SS, but Tordi was as good as anyone we've had at making the athletic spectacular play.

Let’s not forget to mention the running/sliding over the shoulder catch and pop up throw in foul territory down the LF line in the Super of ‘05 to MacArthur at third base to nail the SWAC CFer trying to advance! That was my WOW play for Justin.
