With Guscette leaving anybody else think we just got super thin at catcher? BT- likely gone even though would love to see him come back. Mac- gone Lastres- Had Tommy John Salvador Alvarez- will be true freshman Luke Heyman- big time catcher prospect. Chance doesn’t make it to campus. If he does he could play immediately. Seems like would have to add a Portal guy. My numbers say 2 catchers on roster with Lastres and Alvarez. If Heyman doesn’t sign that great but you still have 3 very young catchers with one that can’t throw for another 9 months.

No question the Clemson offer will be bigger. Especially the base, pre extras. Meats base was 400K. Monte Lee at Clemson was *350K. Sr was at 700K when retired. I think Vitello is highest paid at 1.5 mill.. Guessing Clemson offers a mill per to Link. *Lee will be paid a base salary of $225,000, with supplemental income of $125,000 for a total annual compensation of $350,000.
Transfer guys….wouldn’t they need to announce in next 2-3 weeks so as to get enrolled in a timely manner. I’d have to think transfer window is extremely tight. Can’t transfer in in July and August or at least wouldn’t think so.
The transfer deadline is May 1st for Fall and Winter sports, July 1st for Spring sports. That is transferring without having to sit out a year.

Somebody posted something about Riopelle coming back. If so, that’s huge. Big year and team improving could move him up into rounds that pay big money slot wise.
I am shocked that he isn't getting more love by the pundits. He plays the position well, hits for average, hits for power and is really fast for a catcher. He wasn't 1st Team all SEC for nothing. Not saying he is of the level of Zunino, but he is solid. If he ends up drafted in later rounds I think we might see him in Orange and Blue next season. If I was a MLB general manager I might take a shot at a second or third round pick. He is a sleeper.

What Notre Dame did was impressive. Top 2 pitchers came from Furman and Jacksonville. Pretty sure Sully has cast the transfer net wide. As Notre Dame has showed you don’t have to get your transfers from big schools.
Let's hope he does. I've said it in the past, Link Jarrett is a great coach and even a better person. FSU is going to get a great one.
