Just curious, what's the longest consecutive amount of time you've spent in either of these cities? Did you leave feeling you left a lot on the table? Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Six teams remain including the four from the SEC West. Only one team, Texas A&M hosted a super regional and the two remaining undefeateds, Oklahoma and Ole Miss, played their regional on the road.
Good catch but I'm too poor or too cheap to ever travel much. I'm just following my other comments by insinuating how well the SEC is doing down the stretch. I've never been to Hoover or Omaha as so many people have raved about so sure it's not my place to talk. What I don't like is the Oklahoma softball team playing for the NC every year just down the road with all their fans so close. Imagine if Nebraska was that good in baseball every year which gave them a home state advantage over us or the other SEC teams every year. Of course that will never happen HA. Flip the script, imagine if the CWS were down at Disney or somewhere else in Central Florida every year and the Gators were dominating. Would I be there for that? You bet my bottom dollar I would be.
87— I can tell you one thing about each venue— Hoover—It’s hot as hades. Omaha—It’s the trip of a lifetime.
Don't want anyone from the SEC that has won, or is likely to be capable of winning, a football and a basketball championship. Hope Arky goes down soon. All in all, I'm for Ole Miss.
I've a dear friend that's all Ole Miss. Below is my response to him this morning relative to him trying to adjust his life to get to Omaha. "By any means. JUST GET THERE. Ride a moped if you have to"
We drove out to Omaha in 2005. That was a 10 day trip for a lifetime surrounding our Gators baseball team. Even though we fell just short of our goal, the memories are with us for our lifetime. I would highly recommend make the trip rather than turn it down.
Schlossnagle is Coach of year for what he’s doing w a team that didn’t even make tourney last year. yep, this is a very different roster, again, that’s about the Head Coach.
I've a story about what made my 05 trip to Omaha so special. I'll share later. Let's just say, the stars were aligned.
I am going to make the trip sometime soon. Maybe without the Gators being there. My travel plans are to fly Southwest out of Jax to Midway. Eat a Chicago dog at the Gold Coast venue at the airport (not my favorite, but acceptable. Portillo's is better but my favs were Mom and Pop stands), visit family on the Southside and then take the train to Omaha. Then in my dreams I meet up with @WESGATORS, @74nole, and @wingtee for beers. It doesn't really matter if we do well or not on the field. The meet up is the thing. It is a celebration of baseball.
Y’all know I’m in ! Greg of course must be included Blatts behind the stadium score board across the street we will do damage
Yep, and it seems Sonny D cannot hit anything on outer part of the plate - this tournament anyway. Only 1 hit I think for the SEC POY. It hurt AU.
