Luke Heyman is the top rated catcher in the state of Florida and he's coming to UF. If he's as good as projected he could be in the mix. And I expect a few players to leave via the portal and a couple to come in by transfer. It will make for an interesting summer. MLB keeps projecting Sterlin Thompson as a late 1st round pick. He turns 21 on June 26, so will be draft eligible and could leave.
Good news on Heyman—I won’t be surprised to see Guscette enter the transfer portal—and if Thompson goes that high in the draft at 21 yoa, I would expect him to start his professional career as well.
Here's the latest MLB.com Top 150 draft projections. Jud is at #29, Sterlin at #36. Barco was ahead of Fabian before his injury, but now is at #69. Sproat is at #108. Top Baseball Draft Prospects
Love to see Rivera back. Certainly not a high draft pick but could see him going in rounds 8-10 and maybe he signs. Or maybe I am way off ha ha

It will be interesting to see how much roster movement we have over the summer. How many our guys will test the transfer portal and will Sully get more active in the portal, assuming he's still around? The 2022 recruiting class is a small one, especially compared to all the other Top 20 classes this year, so maybe that portends more use of transfers.
Maybe he has a couple of transfers lined up. We also have a big time JC pitcher coming in unless he gets drafted high enough to go pro.
Let's hope. Otherwise we will only have D Fabian, De Goti and Halter returning. None of the above have shown the ability to hit even adequately at this stage.
Pretty sure Tyler Shelnut (SS/2B more likely 2B) from Santa Fe is coming over. Hit .333 with almost 20 homers I believe.
I just wanted to post a shout out to Jac Caglianone. What an amazing decision he had to make more than halfway thru the year to give up the redshirt and choose to be a hitter for this team. The man is averaging .282 on the season and .264 in conference. He is basically our 4th best hitter no matter how you look at it. I could do all kinds of comparisons but the man is clutch and I like him in the 6th spot. Hopefully next year he can start improving his strikeouts to walks ratio while he starts at 1B. I have no feel for his defense at first or pitching ability yet but the door seems wide open for this special player. But the guy chose to help this team out and even though he may not need that redshirt, he saw an opportunity and went for it. Very glad you did Jac!
