Yes hopefully Kugel is cleared soon Interesting, do you have the link to the....um....poverty stricken NIL fund?
There are separate names for the football, basketball and baseball components of the fund. There might be a link to the interview on the article I just posted.
I said this yesterday, CTG went to recruiting school of Bruce Pearl, he didn’t learn that money talks, analytics and just meeting with them doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. Disappointed in the new coach, following in CMW’s way of recruiting while everybody else just laughs at Florida. Auburn went in house Late in the week, stayed with it till the ante was where it needed to be, too late for other coaches to talk to Broome, then silence on the day of signing. Here we go again!
agreed. We either don’t have the money or are unwilling to spend it and/or bend some rules where needed, otherwise both hoops and football would have top 10 and top 5 classes like every year.
Here are some other Centers from the transfer portal and other top rated transfers: 2022 College Basketball Transfer Portal 2022 College Basketball Transfer Portal At center, 6'7 275 Kenneth Lofton (16.5 ppg, 10.5 rpg) from LA-Tech is actually rated higher than both Broome and Fardaws Aimaq. However, being from Port Arthur,TX, Texas A&M is making a run at him. I am not sure if Florida will even look. Kenneth Lofton Jr. Stats | ESPN A&M Targeting Coveted Louisiana Tech Forward KJ Williams (6'11 245) is from Murray St. The current LSU's coach's former team. KJ Williams Stats, News, Bio | ESPN Both Lofton & Williams are also pursuing the NBA draft while also keeping their transfer prospects open. And finally, Florida was also pursuing the Washington St transfer, Efe Abogidi (6'10 225) who is not as flashy as the other candidates but has played in a major basketball conference, the PAC12. Abogidi also shoots 80% from the free throw line which is a great winning metric. Efe Abogidi Stats | ESPN
Probaly just another hat on the table! When we get a coach, or any assistant that knows what to do and how to do it, let me know. We are diaper training again!
Well that's just the thing, there are no rules to bend anymore....so why aren't we crushing the recruiting ability of everyone else in our conference...and outside of our conference sell weather etc of being here. We need to start looking at this differently, and collectively. All these coaches/schools that excelled by breaking the rules in the old system should now have to compete with behemoths like us in the new system. Very few schools in the country should be able to compete with what we should be able to offer. We need a strong Gator Nation coalition to make it happen. The sooner the better. I don't think the average fan or alumn has any idea how this new system works, but if they're told I'm sure they'd buy in at least as much as any other school...and we have the size, power, tradition and market that very few other schools have (think only Michigan, UCLA, Stanford, etc).
What kind of immediate impact do we need? Give me 10-15 minutes of defense and rebounding at the five, and we are solid.
Well, if we had an AD that would fight and not just bow down to any fight, we could get this thing going. I am afraid SS doesn’t have the guts to do what it takes. Recruiting isn’t for the academic athletic director. That is a recipe for middle of the pack, even though we have the resources if he and others would get this thing going to where we aren’t out bid by Auburn. Shame on us!
Cc has not been able to hit a three, this guy could. A better question for you, do you want to be in the top 10/15 or would you rather be in the top forty? Please!
Pursuing is right, along with every D1 team out there, why Florida? We don’t have a starting position available, and we don’t show them the money, most kids start taking trips where they heard money is flowing. That. Is. Not. Us.
