The question that pops into my head is that did Urbs not know that Trevor was born in Tennessee and went to HS in Georgia, or was he just referring to the "boys from the South"? Not trying to send this to Too Hot, but WTF Urb???

No idea but why was he using insults as a motivator?

Makes me feel dirty and I am glad he is in Ohio!
Most people that make good money normally leave Ohio.

I’ve always thought he was a douchebag and that he never belong any any ring that the qualifier was honor. He could win football games but I’m glad I’m not a browns fan too. Mentioning his name in the same sentence with SOS to me is pure blasphemy.

I think he suffers/suffered from Newbauer Syndrome. He was WAY over his head and thought intimidation would keep the cattle in line. Pros are NOT cattle, they are the inmates who run the asylum.

I have to say my enthusiasm for inducting Urbs into the ROH has taken some serious hits below the waterline

It amazes me that a guy could be so dialed in to the college game and so out of touch with the pros

I remember going to his introductory Tampa Gator Club event with a co-worker and as it's winding down, my buddy says there's something about him that he didn't like. I responded saying seems OK to me. My buddy was the head of a large engineering office in town and soon-to-be headed up the ladder. Guess he had a much better read on people than I did.

Probably out of touch with the college game now too, if he tried that crap today his entire team would be in the portal.

Yeah, he is in Charlie Pell territory, definitely a key part of Gator football history but has some issues to overcome.

Ill take Charley Pell any day over what I’m seeing from Urbs

EDIT: Charley saw how it got done at Alabama. He took his talent and what he learned and made it work at Clemson and at Florida — and got busted for it by the double standard douchebag NCAA. Next to Charley, Florida paid the biggest price for running a system like every other top school in the day. He gets a bad rap and was a damn good coach and a good man.

Charlie Pell got us in got water. I’ll take urbs and his two titles, despite the high arrest list (mostly ticky tacky baloney) and calling players dumb..

At least Pell's guys weren't shooting people or smoking dope like the Rastafarri.

God lord Charlie Pell got us into "hot water " doing what he learned at Alabama and yet we were the sacrificial lamb for the sec and ncaa. That doesn't compare to what urban Meyer was here. A hypocrital fraud of a character that spoke out of both sides of his mouth. Dudes a con artist.
