The 18-time All-American just took over the top spot on the Gators Career Event Wins chart at 96 titles with her uneven bars win last Friday in Florida's regular-season finale at the North Carolina State quad. That's not the only Florida record Thomas owns. Thomas' vault 10.0 versus Alabama early this season completed her Gym Slam (10.0 on each apparatus). She is one of 12 – and the third Gator - in NCAA history with a Gym Slam. Thomas is the Gators career leader with 14 10.0s. She set Florida's all-around record of 39.90 as a junior at LSU and shares the nation's top 2022 all-around total (39.85) with freshman teammate Leanne Wong. Trinity should be the favorite to win. She' s the only one with a gym slam, she has the highest AA score this year and higher rank in 3 events.
Trinity is one of my all-time favorite Gator athletes. She'll likely be the GOAT of Gator gymnastics when all is said and done (especially if she returns next season). Hope she wins the award.
