I’m not against BN but he recruited these kids hard the last few weeks. Hard to say keep your exceptions down because of what a coach says when he was our recruiting these kids hard. All that being said i believe it’s just tougher to come in this quick and flip these kids. He will need time

 

Well he did say a hour b4 he committed that miami has gotten involved heavily.

Hard to call this day (or class) a dud given where we were when Mullen was shown the door. Been mightily impressed with what CBN showed in effort since he came aboard. All of this is just setting the table for the years to come. Go Gators!

Not time to bulldoze the swamp and drop football. Even though we have great history and tradition, in effect this is like starting from scratch after the debacles we have had over the past decade.

 

This class will probably be better than if Mullen had been given another year because the program was being seen as on the decline and nobody wants to jump aboard a sinking ship and we would have been staring at a transition class next year instead of this year. As it is, we will need three years of high level recruiting to catch up to the depth of talent at Georgia and Alabama and OSU, so missing out on a running back in year one is not a big deal, especially with the portal.

 

IMO, getting Torrence and Farmer are our biggest gets. You put some big uglies up front, everything else is just gravy. Would love to get Matthews and Perkins, but I think we'll be fine for a transition class.

 

Citizen wasn't a need, Mathews is a luxury, but Story is a big need and Perkins a much bigger one.

 

Maybe... the ranking services are often wrong. But we need to lock our recruits up in the early recruiting period next year. I know this year was impossible with the coaching turnover, but next year should be easier to get our players signed early. And we know how the February signing day works now, so... Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
