Based upon what I've read, I guess her need for immunity relates to a possible obstruction charge? Or perhaps she is also at risk of prosecution for some underlying crime? Reportedly, there was a phone call that may shed some light on things. But if she changes her story now and unless there is other evidence, I'm sure they will go after her credibility.

In terms of the reporting about Gaetz, I thought I read about his group being stopped by customs officers who thought the girls looked young? I wonder if Greenberg faked their IDs. I'm not clear if and when a mistake of age defense might be available under federal law, but if anyone supplied minors with fake IDs to take the trip, that's going to be tough to fight their way out of.

 

What I was was always told is that it is your responsibility to know the woman's age. If she lies about her age, that's your problem no the courts. I am sure it's more complicated than that.

Greenberg has already plead guilty and in his plea deal he got over ten years of time to serve, not much of a deal.

“what half baked crime scheme can I come up with today?”. Guy even got an episode of “American Greed” on CNBC. Apparently he tried to recruit an IT person in the Tallahassee government to help him do a ransomware attack against the very government offices he worked for! Hadn’t heard that one before! Guess he saw what the Russian cybercriminals were doing on that front and was like “hey, that’s a great idea!”.
