Can’t be a surprise to anyone. He signed one HS RB during his tenure at UF and that was a player that had a serious HS injury that resulted in other programs backing off the player. He had two highly regarded transfer portal kids that never saw the field. He played the previous coaching staffs player in a seniority and rotational system that was beyond bizarre. Was also quoted as being a screamer (along with Hevesy) at practice. One of the laziest HS recruiters of all time. As you can see above, even kids they wanted to reach him had a hard time finding him. This wraps up the Mullen recruiting philosophy in a nutshell
If someone asked us to rate the top 10 songs in rock ‘n’ roll history, we would probably all have 100 different views. I don’t care who has what number at what position. All I know is he is Travis’s brother. Travis was a bad ass.
You may want to correct the typo on the sixth word of you post. When I first read it, I was confused, and then I laughed. LOL
Sometimes information comes out from staffers or "insiders" that is just rumor or speculation but the quote by the anonymous staffer is really substantiated when you think of who we recruited. The quote was something about relying on the portal and not begging athletes to play here. It explains arje Henderson who everyone knew had no chance of qualifying and committed without a visit or some of the other non qualifiers or injury/character question commits. He brought in some talent but he filled out classes with heavy risks to bump ratings for appearance purpose.
Just glad to have a top back, from Louisiana, commit to coach. It continues a steady positive momentum in recruiting that we are all hoping/expecting to continue up to signing day.
Rivals has him as the #2 all purpose back. He's a great running back that just happens to be one of the best return specialists in this class.
In this particular case, time, situation the commitment from a highly ranked RB is equally as important as who the recruit is. This exposure could and should help this class finish very respectably for a transition class.
Not that I’m aware. She is just saying it’s 71 miles from one to the other, so when going to visit 1 it’s easy to visit both.
If this is true, this is a reason the whole staff should have been canned. This is unbelievable stuff.
