Egg on face, I misread 247. That being said they're a complete outlier. The composite is probably a much more accurate assessment of Etienne than their own rating especially considering that he received offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and LSU among others.
If we came up short on some of the bigger fish but still managed a class size north of 20 it would more than likely get us there. I think 13-16 is a very realistic goal at this point. But we would more than likely have to get at least one of Citizen, Matthews or Perkins to get it there. My guess is 14 or 15 when it’s all over.
with all the stuff that has come out about Mullen and his staff. They probably should never work college ball again.
He's 15th RB on the 247 composite, and, 45th RB on the 247 ranking. Composite is what matters to me. You get an average smoothing effect with that. Also, this single commitment bumped our class from 50th to 41st with a bullet... just like that. Also pushed us above .90 on the average rating. So, we still have room to make this a good class.

We've got UL pissed we took a video guy because even the little things such as using media to hype up the players and program matter. All of this is stuff that Mullen didn't care about. Brilliant OC, not sure he's a QB whisperer after Brian Johnson left, but he acts like he is running a program in the 1990s or earlier. I like Dan and had hoped he'd be the guy but this stuff just goes to show that we (fans) had no idea how underperforming the coaching staff really was.
I think he liked Florida under the previous regime but having Napier come in was what solidified it. He was Gator before Napier... but may have gone elsewhere if Mullen was retained after this crap year.
if that message post showing him wanting to contact Knox is true then that is very telling and lines up perfectly with your post. Just insane. How many others have we "whiffed" on but our staff just was half-assed about it? So we didn't whiff because our staff never took the swing.
