It all comes down to this -- not only the SEC title but whether we will host regionals at the O'Dome. Two wins would be a lock to host. One win and we'd have to start praying.

    FLORIDA (14-2)
    Can win the SEC with:
    * 2 wins vs. Kentucky AND
    * Mississippi State loss to Auburn

Can win a share of the SEC with:
    * 2 wins vs. Kentucky AND
    * Mississippi State win vs. Auburn
** In this scenario, tiebreaker 1A is even (head-to-head competition, as the two teams each won one match)
** In this scenario, tiebreaker 1B is even (number of sets won between two teams: UF - 5, MSU - 5)
** Tiebreaker 1C is highest number of points won between two teams (MSU -195; UF - 209) Florida wins tiebreaker

Johnny, how strong is Kentucky this year? Anywhere near as good as last years championship squad?

Dunno. I like to think of myself as Mister Softball, but have only been into volleyball for a couple years. Much more complex game than I thought.

Watching the match now. Kentucky having there way with UF in first set. Gators trying to battle back but UK looks like clearly the better team.

21-17 UK ahead in first set. Florida hitting too many balls too close to net on first hit or setting ball too far behind net. UF also dinking way too much, allowing UK to set a nice ball a few feet from the net for an easy kill. I’ll be surprised if this isn’t a 3-0 sweep by UK

The Gators are playing tough, but UK is just on a different level.

UK puts the match away as I expected 25-20 after UF again battled back down 24-16.

Defended off ten match points. Gotta play like that through the rest of the match. I think tomorrow is a must win for any hope of returning to the O'Dome.

I feel especially bad for Thayer Hall. Seems like only yesterday I watched a video of her getting the Gatorade High School POY award. Way to similar to Savannah Jordan of UF Soccer. Generational talents that toiled for four years at UF, with little to show for it. The silver lining being a UF degree.

UK takes the 3rd set 25-23 and wins the match 3-0. UK is just a great team.

And we hung with them pretty much every game both nights -- we were in the 20's, so its not like they crushed us. OTOH, its still a loss.

I guess we'll know soon enough, but probably not hosting?

Finished third in the SEC, a bit of a disappointment. Hoping for better results in postseason.

OMG -- UF hosts first / second rounds (no driving to Miami!)

Anyone heard the dates? Next two weekends?

16 -- squeaked in to host! We play Florida A&M at 7PM in first round ( and presumably Miami at 7PM (who is probably upset they are not hosting) in the second round. It's not exactly clear whether its Dec 2 / 3 or Dec 3 / 4

[not jinx -- saying IF we make it out of the first round]

Regionals Dec 9 / 11 -- after that any games would be in Ohio
