Following his graduation from Notre Dame this spring Axel Nefve (UTR 13.49) will transfer and has verbally committed to the Gators for fall of 2022 as a graduate transfer. Plays for Notre Dame at the number 1 singles slot and has records of 60-32 in singles/40-21 in doubles. ITA high ranks of #25 in singles/#19 in doubles.

Given the losses at the top of the ladder after this season, this is huge to get a bigtimer experienced and ready to go

Looking for two more for next year. Don't be surprised if those two are not announced early during the November early signing period. Fluid situation!

Any player who has publically committed is included in the four. Another contingency is the fact that Sam Riffice could utilize one more year of eligibility if he chose to do so. There are alot of recruiting balloons up in the air. In addition the players who are highest on the recruiting list may wait until later to decide what they will do. As I said in an earlier post, recruiting with the portal and covid induced extra year have made it very difficult to fit all the pieces together. In the end we will be fine and bring in a class that keeps Florida Men's Tennis in the top ten nationally.
