Personally speaking i always felt bad for the kid as he had grown up a gator and probably felt jilted in not getting a scholarship here. I never enjoyed disparaging him even when he first signed on with FSU. At some point though you gotta have some character and he didn't when he joined in on making fun of the whole Mullen's wife kissing the team thing. It was low class and he needs to grow up. That said I hope he finds his way

I hope you all are correct and they have a horrendous season and it kills reruiting for them. However, I wouldn't have guessed they would even be in our neighborhood recruiting wise after the last 3 seasons we've had compared to theirs. Add in the SEC allure, the UF facilities way better than FSU, and the Mullen staff more established than Norvelle, I would think we would destroy them. I learned my lesson when the rooster came in at QB and beat us. Never count them out, they scramble and find a way to survive and thrive like a Rat. Or a cockroach. Or a virus
Do we suspect he did something g wrong or never grew into a position? I remember only that he seemed small. Couldn’t play LB? Is it that fsu has a bit of DL talent, not a lot, and he is still overmatched?
Their apparent recruiting success is baffling considering we have so much to offer as an institution. The board hates me saying it but I like their OL/DL commits. They won’t be ready for more than two years. But it’s still impressive. As for their winning with rooster, back then they had good assistants. Now? This staff? Who knows. Probably not that level.
Nothing confirmed but Twitter streets trying to push some UNCONFIRMED rumor that he was anti vax and got the boot because FSU trying to get to the 85% number. That seems like a bit much but yea that’s what i heard. I don’t believe that to be the case at all for the record
Well, we know for sure he didn't "do something wrong". Anything that gets you disciplined by FSU would have already had at least a bail hearing.
I saw that too. But I dismissed it because I think Norvell would prefer to be the least vaccinated team, allowing him to forfeit/skip games vs getting thumped and embarrassed on the field. You know he is gonna come up with some excuse to not have to play at Clemson. ‘Hey, there is a tropical depression off the coast of Africa…it’s two weeks away from forming and while we are unsure of the cone of destruction, there is a small chance it could end up impacting our travel to Clemson so we are gonna have to cancel that game”
Danny Kannell mentioned on air today that he went to practice after the memorial for Bobby Bowden on the campus and met up with Peter Warrick. They were asking themselves "where are the dudes?" There is a severe lack of talent there now, and they have a young energetic coach. They should be able to recruit some talent for all the playing time they have available unless they make it too embarrassing on the field to allow them commit. Zook had the kind of enthusiasm that sold his vision for the school until the losses and other embarrassment became too much. Then it was all over.
The entire ballgame for their recruiting success right now. The dynamic potentially changes significantly with each loss. They didn't accidentally get woodshedded in over half their games (when they didn't chicken out) last season.
Sorry...you lost me at growing up a Gator and joining FSU...my kid WILL grow up a Gator and he will love the Gators. Nothing under any circumstance would allow him to play for FSU. I could probably stomach him going to school there to chase girls if he wasnt smart enough to get into UF but to play football there...NOPE (all Caps). He would know better...Georgia too... He would without asking know that the University of Alaska Anchorage would be the better choice. Nope Nope Nope...no way do you make that conversion if your blood flows Orange and Blue!
I mean I get it and that's how I feel but I can see how a kid can feel rejected from his dream school. As a player he has a different perspective now than he did as a kid growing up. Its not for me but I get it
You know As time passes it becomes more apparent that we completely under value BG and the work he has done here. His results don't lie. The receivers noticeably improve each year, a couple or more getting drafted each year, and have really been a more consistent group of our offense. Can't wait to see what he continues to do.

Either way, I don't like the fact they are in the top 10 recruiting classes and we aren't sniffing it. I know I know, it can change, it's early, but they have been outside of the top 30 forEVER
That you received a face palm is baffling. That had to be a fat finger. It came out of nowhere. I would like to know what they are saying to recruits. If their OL/DL commits are still being pursued and fsu has a terrible season some of their best may bolt.
