I'm new here. Did I miss all this wailing and gnashing of teeth when leftists were (and still are) literally destroying cities and liberal mayors refused to stop it? When innocent people were gunned down in the street by lefties, one strictly for his politics? When federal bulidings were torched while officers were inside? When hundreds of police were injured, many of them permanently?

These idiot Trump supporters should be cuffed and hauled to jail and held without bail until their hearing. Just like the thousands of lefties who were NOT and were released by their liberal politicians over and over and over again to go back to destroying cities and assaulting cops sometimes the very same day.

So as someone who has always been for law and order and sees no politics when it comes to upholding the law, forgive me if I gag on the left's selective outrage.

Except that didn’t actually happen. Far more people were arrested for “protesting” over the summer? including several members of the media for doing their jobs: for simply being there and reporting on it. Those were the people they let go. Those they had nothing on. Show me one report of someone they had “looting and burning” that they let go.

One of the most outrageous things about 1/6 was almost nobody was arrested at the scene. Understandable when they were overwhelmed, not so much when order was restored and there was footage of police literally walking people out of the capitol and letting them go without even booking them or figuring out who they were, anyone caught INSIDE the halls of Congress should have 100% been taken down at the scene which is exactly what happened at almost every protest, the problem is at a protest the people they arrest were not necessarily likely to have been doing anything wrong. It’s almost random, just whomever the police manages to “trap” when they decide to do their show of force nonsense.

On the bright side, a bunch of the insurrectionists were proud of what they did and bragged about it to social media and elsewhere (some guy who was just recently arrested was turned in because he insisted on showing the videos to someone at his dentists office, lol). That made many of them easy to find and arrest in the aftermath. You think the people setting fires in cities aren’t wanted by police? I’m sure they are, only real difference is the insurrectionists are wanted by the feds rather than local PD. Different resources get thrown around by the feds from an attack on the capitol, and most sane people don’t brag about their criminality on social media (funny that several of the worst criminals from the BLM protests actually prosecuted, were actually alt-right Nazi’s doing it as a false flag). Why? Again, because they are deluded into thinking stirring up trouble will start a “race war” - they are proud of their crimes and are coordinating and sharing their criminality online with other people. People protesting, even if they are committing crimes like vandalism and arson, aren’t as likely to be doing this other stuff online...it’s a matter of identification.

It’s not “selective outrage”. Since you’re new here, you can go through all the old posts you’d like to investigate.
And because you’re for “law and order” , I’m certain you are also outraged at the long history of law enforcement violating the very laws they are sworn to protect.

It would make sense that since riots went on for 6 months in multiple cities that there would be more arrests than in DC. And the fact that burning, looting, assaults and murder were also happening would probably be a good indicator as to why more people were arrested. I'm not sure why the people entering the Capital weren't arrested. They should have been. Ask the Capital police why. But the fact of the matter is that liberal cities released even those who committed felonies right away allowing them to go right back to rioting. Some to be re-arrested 3 and 4 times. Occasionally within 24 hours.

I love that all that burning and looting is called "protesting". And your suggestion that this is all done by a bunch of right wing white nationalists is ludicrous and defies not only logic but defies thousands of hours of video detailing exactly who was doing the destruction and looting. The right's fear of Antifa is only matched by the left's fear of the "the boogaloo boys". They're all a bunch of disaffected, socially inept underachievers and deserve our disdain. But any attempt to make out the destruction and looting of places like Portland, St. Louis and Minneapolis to being the work right wingers is nuts.

Ahhh yes. "Whataboutism". The left's classic response to facing their own hypocrisy.

I've said all the jokers at the Capital should have been arrested and have been consistant on that since day one. Meanwhile, the left sent money (cheered on by your VP) to bail out people who were destroying cities. Bravo.

If you see "no politics when it comes to upholding the law," why are you referring to protesters (who were protesting a non-political issue) as "leftists?" We know where the politics were in the Jan 6 event. Where is the politics in the George Floyd protests?

I'm not referring to "protestors". I'm referring to "rioters". You know, the people who destroyed businesses. The people who looted stores. The people who shot and killed people. Those people.

    Meanwhile.....thanks Biden DOJ

Almost Half of Federal Cases Against Portland Rioters Have Been Dismissed

"Of 96 cases the U.S. attorney’s office in Portland filed last year charging protesters with federal crimes, including assaulting federal officers, civil disorder, and failing to obey, prosecutors have dropped 47 of them, government documents show. Ten people have pleaded guilty to related charges and two were ordered detained pending trial. None have gone to trial."

Nothing to see here. Apparently all those buildings and businesses burned and looted themselves and the injured federal officers and local police only had mere flesh wounds.

Apparently, not. You’ll have to forgive them, though. He/she is new here and doesn’t realize most of the GC community actually cares about FACTS.
