I'm not sure AU went after him that hard either......mid level recruit, and I think he is a Knoxville kid.

 

Don't think we "lost" him.

He must be on that Andre Dubose/ Rick wells type of scholarship. Going on a 10 year plan or some shit lol

 

That is why no one should feel too high or too low about getting or not a top recruit. We had super high rated DB as freshmen this year, but who played the most minutes? The ones who were rated lowest but clearly were ahead of the others.

I don't think that was a coaching thing. I just think Johnson and Torrence are very talented, underrated as a recruit and more college ready. Of course Pouncey didn't get a chance with his injury, but he needed size regardless.

 

Ha to remember that the highly rated guys were corners and we weren’t at the position that we brought Johnson and Torrence at.

Thats gonna happen with us at TE if we SIGN Skinner for the 2022 cycle imo. Somebody def hittin the portal.....especially if Arik Gilbert has to sit out this season.
