I’m guessing the “pedestrians” who happen to be filming with their camera phones are reluctant to provide footage. They would be the only one who would have said footage as the couple has weapons in their hands and not camera phones.

Unless the couple's home is equipped with security cameras. They should have figured out some was to document the perceived threat before they started pointing guns at the pedestrians.

maybe one of the mccloskeys should have grabbed a camera to document their claim rather than a gun to protect them against the bull rush that was never coming.

How did you know it was never happening? They were threatened:

“There were people wearing body armor. One person pulled out a loaded pistol magazine, he clipped them together and said, ‘You’re next,’” McCloskey told NBC's "Today" Show. “We were threatened with our lives, threatened with the house [being] burned down.”

    A. You're not allowed to do what you just did. You can't go into my quoted post and change the wording.

    B. Trespassers on a private street or pedestrians (and the people can be both)..it doesn't change the legal entitlement to point firearms at people.

Fixed A and was wondering about B:

“There were people wearing body armor. One person pulled out a loaded pistol magazine, he clipped them together and said, ‘You’re next,’” McCloskey told NBC's "Today" Show. “We were threatened with our lives, threatened with the house [being] burned down.”

How would you react in your driveway if a bunch of White Supremacists were doing the exact same thing to you? Get your gun? Try to talk them out of it or call the cops?

I feel sorry for this couple. Once the scum broke through the gate they became trespassers. The fact that they broke through the gate clearly indicates that they weren’t there to deliver Girl Scout Cookies.

This is what is wrong with our society. Politicians and prosecutors waste time and the taxpayers money trying to drum up charges against people protecting their home and property instead of doing their jobs and sweeping this filth out of the streets for the last 6weeks.

I imagine there are some good Venn diagram memes that cover the intersection of the individuals involved In this.

If it had been me, I would have gotten my guns, stayed in the house, and watched events through the window. Running outside seems like they were just spoiling for a fight. I mean, if you really feel threatened, wouldn't you stay behind walls, instead of rushing out and provoking a confrontation?

Judging from their litigious history I would say they were absolutely hoping to provoke things in order to sue people later.

Me too. Miserable people trying to setup a payday and tying up the courts.
Also spending their lives scared of some bogeyman when both of them are more likely to shoot each other. Police probably saving them by removing some firearms.

Or you could do like my brother and sister in law hand have a couple of police trained German shepherds as a security system. They love the heck out of me, but an intruder wouldn't stand a chance with those two pooches. They'd be on him like flies on poop and rip them to shreds. And their chorus of barking is the best alert to the homeowners so they can take action before dipstick intruder even gets into the house.

BS. I don't believe a word of it. How would I react if white supremacists tried to parade down my private street? I'd call the police and stay in the house. If I felt safe, I'd go outside, boo them, and flip them the bird. I would not take a firearm out and point it at people. That's a crime.

While I get that this couple fits just about every stereotype that the left pushes on white privilege ...the reality is that for 2 weeks leading up to this there are clips of protesters/rioters beating the shit out of store owners and burning businesses to the ground all over TV. A retired cop was shot in the head and killed 11 days before protecting a friends business ...and in the same freaking side of town! And these people busted through a gate in a private community ...and there is no reason to be alarmed???

Everyone on here that claims there was no worry here, would have pissed their pants if in the same predicament.
