directing supplies to people who praise him, withholding supplies from those that are critical of him. This is criminal in nature. People will die because he is playing games with supplies

We did not start preparing for this in January when the IC informed Trump what was going on in Wuhan.

    We knew this was coming.

Not completely true. ME gave one of its 4 EC votes to Trump.

We totes deserve 25% of what we requested. Sent to the appropriate counties, of course.

Just had a breakout in my SoCal town.

As far as the lockdown, there are always defiant ones. I belong to several groups on facebook (town news/gossip stuff etc.) and there is unfortunately no shortage of defiant and ignorant types, even just today, even after the breakout.

Anyway, here's a table of weekly numbers based on World-o-Meter data for week ending March 29 (so one day still to go):

Just over 500 deaths today and 400 yesterday, so a little over 2 days.

Almost everyone is scared. when i went for a walk on the beach walk this morning, I did what I do: I say hello to people walking the other way.

With few exceptions, people would not even look over they were so scared and absorbed.

    We are where we are.

All we want is the best option going forward.

I believe it was 27 days from first death to 1000, and 3 days from 1000 to 2000.

Yes, by the numbers I'm seeing it's mostly true. We went from around 1000 deaths to around 2000 deaths in 2 to 3 days. We're at more than 500 for today.

If we assume a 1% death rate, 500 deaths today would imply 50,000 people with CV 2 to 3 weeks ago. At that time the official numbers were closer to 1000 cases.

Interesting. I have had the opposite experience on my neighborhood walks. We're all giving each other plenty of space, but everyone is saying 'hi' too. But here in Austin we have not been hit too hard yet.

Just today. Earlier in the week, I went in the afternoon, and it was different. Today, I went in the AM, but it was just weird.

    Maybe better in the AM.

Yesterday, I saw a woman walking her dog, and we moved to give her space. i said to her, "please do not take personally that I moved away."

    She laughed.
