That's your interpretation. I think you're conflating him talking about what to do moving forward with his regrets from past actions, and I agree with @GatorJMDZ on his interpretation of the comments.

I am just a never get very sick and never go to the doctor type. So it certainly could have been that.

It was different in that it would not let go. My 14 year old too.

It seems like they should limit subway usage to people who work in critical infrastructure jobs: police, fire, medical, etc. Other people can walk.

As I said I understand the point. Not sure if the article has changed since you posted it, but if you re-read it it’s not saying exactly what you think it is. The revised death numbers are based in the lockdown the U.K. put in place, he is standing by the higher numbers if they weren’t. The 50% number is coming from a different group (not Ferguson), and as I pointed out those number don’t match reality on the ground - either in observed local outbreaks that dwarf other places, or in the testing numbers as they come back extremely low. It was a throw in to the article. In fact Ferguson disputed it:

“Most importantly, it assumes that most people who contract the virus don’t show symptoms and that very few need to go to hospital. “I don’t think that’s consistent with the observed data,” Ferguson told the committee.

That was why he issued the statement later, to make sure it wasn’t misinterpreted.

    Good news and bad news.
NY infection rates went down, deaths were relatively stable (up few but not statistically significant).
Bad news is that US infectionumbers overall went up 20 percent again, and some populated places are starting to show clear signs of spiking.
Florida was level, but that might have been due to lack of tests, we will see.

internationally they went up again, Europe still seems the epicenter, but starting to take root in other places too.

Dr. Limbaugh is awfully quiet these days. What happened to his vapid bleating about this being the "common cold". He has never been shy about expressing himself....why so quiet?... and no that cancer diagnosis didn't keep his disingenuous ass quiet a few short weeks ago........ bueller???? Did he finally come to his senses and stfu? Or is he still spouting nonsense and somehow it is being missed? Perhaps he can tell the families of those who are dying from CV about how this is nothing more than the common cold....or the healthcare workers who are having to deal with this....

If I were to put my hatred towards Donald Trump into words, the mods would delete my post. I will simply say that there's nothing more despicable than a an uninformed, petty "President" ignoring the pleas of governors for PPE for the healthcare professionals in their state during a pandemic simply because he doesn't like that governor. He's not just an awful leader and "President." He's a bad person.

Listen to Cuomo comments and how he did a 180 on how Trump was doing. If anyone thinks he wasn't threatened with less aid they are being willfully ignorant. Trump , and his team are using covid aid as a political weapon. Special place in he11 for these people
