Yes, we talked about it before. I saw Al Hirt on a gator band trip to LSU, 1972. We stayed in a hotel near Bourbon Street on Friday night, drove to Baton Rouge for the night game Saturday afternoon, then did half time for the Saints and bears on Sunday at the old sugar bowl stadium.

Fun to see your list of concerts. We have such similar range of tastes. On the symphony side I saw Toronto, Leningrad, and London Symphony orchestras, The latter under the direction of Andre Previn. Did not see Miles Davis or Dizzy Gillespie, but I did see Al hurt at his bourbon street club. The Dave and Darius Brubeck ensemble were out of this world.

Thanks wygator. Yes, I've enjoyed your musical tastes too. Aren't you a fellow bandsman? I marched the 'Pride 88-90. I think this explains our interest in bands like BS&T, Chicago, etc.

Thanks for the note about the dog. We're definitely suckers for them. Never thought I'd voluntary drop thousands on this. But you never know what you'll actually do until your hand is forced, I guess.
