Let us not forget……Napier had to COMPLETELY REBUILD THE PROGRAM. That reality seems to be forgotten in all this hand wringing. Napier, should it not go well, will have left the program in drastically better shape than the one he inherited. You can’t say that about Mullen, Mac, Urban, Champ, or Zook. So, despite the wins vs losses, the man has done a great deal of good here.
Agreed, but there will be a point of diminishing returns if he can't get over the hump. IMO, just looking at the roster, and expected OL and DL turnover it should be this year. Another meh year like last year and I think we can safely assume that's all he will ever be able to provide and UF should look to bring in a coach that can take all that talent that has been assembled and do something with it.
What are we. 6th talent wise in the sec and play a few that are ahead of us. He needs to win the ones he should win.
I seriously doubt much of that assembled talent stays if Napier is gone. He's popular and it's too easy for kids to leave. It will be starting over at ground zero again if it comes to that.
Depends on the hire. Debour lost alot when he took over and they had a few bumps but i wouldnt call it starting over .
Deboer will be on the hot seat sooner than later. I bet his ears are still ringing from the Vandy loss.
I think hes a decent coach though and they have a pile of 5* kids this time around. Id bet on them having a decent year.
