I would say that what the Gators must do in 2025 is play up to their potential. There are so many players who SHOULD play lights out. So, go do it guys!

And if this article is correct--LOOK OUT!
It's hard to deny the raw talent that Dallas Wilson has especially when he dominated in the spring game and continues to get better each day. In our Top 50 WR rankings, Dallas Wilson debuted at No. 30 without taking a snap and that could prove to be far too low for the Freshman. If Wilson's dominance this offseason is able to translate to the regular season, the Gators will have one of the best offenses in the Country.
This Florida Receiver is Todd McShay’s pick to breakout in 2025

The time for us to get a play off is bothersome. We will likely need to move rapidly some games.

Thank you for making a key point! Time management is a huge issue that affects offensive performance. Billy likes to run the play clock almost to zero, and I think that is a horrible strategy; especially, when we fail on 82% of third downs!

Problem is, DW is wearing a cast/boot (which, from limited reports, seems to be due to a fractured bone in his foot).
He has not been running for several weeks now and, if rumors/reports of a fracture are true, it will be several more weeks before he can run/plant his foot and start to cut.
All of the off-season brilliance we read about in spring and summer may take a while to re-emerge in the fall when he is finally allowed to go full speed.
Most importantly – he has not been practicing with DJ, which is of paramount importance in a good QB/WR relationship.
Don’t even want to talk about whether DJ and Trey Wilson are able to go 100% yet…:(

We fail on 3rd downs because the defense knows it will be a passing down.

The way around this is to get first downs on 1st and/or 2nd down....BEFORE we get to a 3rd down.

    Yours truly,
    Captain Obvious

I've seen way too many "3rd down and too long" running calls made in the past 3 years too.

Or consist have 3rd and short. Third and more than 3 means the qb must complete a pass. Lets go DJ.

Thats more common when you dont trust your qb to make the tight risky throws.

Not specific, just stop shooting yourself in the foot on offense and STs, keep Lagway healthy while letting him do awesome things so the defenses stay off-balance, and then just stop playing down to your opponent. It is damn time for some 42-7 games against the middling teams.

Who are the middling teams. Florida, LSU, Tenns, A&M, ol Miss? That reality of the middle of the sec.

    Sure!

I am thinking at least FSU and a team that isn't what they think it is. Old Miss? LSU?

More trips to then TDs in the Red Zone. We had 63 scores, 45TDs. Most teams ahead of us had 50+ TDs and a slew of FGs. Billy needs to speed it up if he wants a higher scoring offense. Maybe Callaway has an impact on that.
