This whole line of silliness started with a Dem posters post that "I doubt most MAGAs even 'know' where Ukraine is on a map". My post was to let him know that the same would be more likely for Dems simply because Dems are younger and less likely to know how the USSR was split up.
This is based on the idea that a group of 18-35 year olds would have zero knowledge of the breakup of one of only three international superpowers that control a massive number of nuclear weapons. Could be.... I did not have that definitive answer and why I put the ? mark on my comment.
I wouldn't brag too much--most democrats are better educated than most republicans. Sometimes, education can make up for a lack of age. And I would also say that most democrats are more traveled and more knowledgeable about things in other countries than most republicans. There is a reason that the TV character Archie Bunker was created in the 1970's to represent the ignorance of the average republican.

More winning! Trump, the "peace president", is ready to start a war with Mexico. Just don't call it a war. It's just going to be a small invasion force with heavy weapons. You know, good times. Trump has shown he is unable and unwilling to work with U.S. mayors to improve security in places like D.C., so why shouldn't he have the same attitude towards other countries? It's part of Trump's agenda to Make America Great Again. Back when America was Great in 1916 to be specific Woodrow Wilson sent US troops led by Gen. Pershing into to Mexico to pursue Pancho Villa. Apparently Trump is considering a repeat.
If it worked once, it should work again, eh? Who will be the bad guy? Nacho Spilla? Choco Vanilla? Nutso Killa? And will Don "Quixote" Trump be diverted from his war on fentanyl to fight a few windmills? Endo Windmilla?
People are starting to use an eight-letter word starting with "D" to describe Trump and his attempts to rearrange the Smithsonian collection. Let's see, dipsh!t is only seven letters, so that can't be it. And while "d!ckhead" is eight letters, I don't think would be it, either (that's probably his normal nickname that people refer to him after meeting him for the first time). They say that he has this nickname in common with a German leader from the 1930's. Hmmm, it's a puzzle. People Are Using THAT Eight-Letter "D-Word" To Describe Trump's Review Of Smithsonian Exhibits
THIS JUST IN . . . Trump is now being compared to 18th century royalty for his demeanor and attitudes towards wealth and money. "Half The Country Is In Poverty" — People Are NOT HAPPY With Trump's White House Renovations
Trump basically gives China a green light to invade Taiwan, as long as they do it after he leaves office. Once again, Trump's ego trumps his morality, assuming he has any morality in the first place. Perfect opportunity for Trump to tell Xi that invasion of Taiwan at any time is unacceptable, yet he does not do that. Trump would probably like to see China invade Taiwan the day after he leaves office, especially if a democrat (or a republican not selected by him) wins the election. Every other American president in history has been "America First" until we got a president who was "Trump First, America Second". https://edition.cnn.com/2025/08/16/asia/trump-xi-taiwan-invasion-intl-hnk
