It won’t, but I’m optimistic that we can get to 9 wins.

 

If we pull that off against this schedule, this team will rank as one of the best ever to take the field.

Ummm... when did we start talking about FSU?

 

Agree with most of this but I would put LSU as "same" and you left off Miami but I would say they will be "worse". UGAG might be slightly worse than the same.

On a side note, I'm hesitant to pick UTx over OSU, at least at the moment. That's based mainly on the fact that Manning the 23rd hasn't really done all that much going into his third year, plus they have struggled to an extent against top-tier teams under the current regime. I also wonder what will happen going forward if they get exposed a bit in Columbus only to be promptly re-inflated against three absolute cupcakes and a bye week. UF will obviously have to be hitting on all cylinders, starting with LSU and then Miami. There will be no inflated rankings for the Gators coming out of those first four games. They will receive zero credit, no matter what happens in the first two, and brutal criticism for any missteps in games three and four. One way or another, UF will almost certainly be a "known quantity" going into the UTx game. I'm not so sure about the shorthorns.

The omission was intentional and why we should not play them. Why ever give them exposure or recognition of any kind? But on LSU I called them improved because they got some good transfers and some good recruiting classes got another year under their belt, and I was not as impressed by their losses on the OL as a lot of others are. UGAG depends on the qb play, but I expect better OL play that should help him more than what Beck got last year. Why Smart keeps Bobo is beyond me, like it's hubris ,showing how much his defense makes up for offensive deficiencies.

 

Our only decent win against miami, could happen. Probably exactly what the point spread says too.

 

Bennett good, Beck sucks. No Bowers. Bobo meh, get a good qb and they will be fine. Bennett and Bowers scored just fine.

I am trying to be realistic with the schedule and we have to many tough road games that we typically do not do well in. Also, I am trying not to get my hopes up to mutch. My heart has been broken to many times over the last 15 years.

 

And if you're completely unbiased, and you were thinking of an oddsmaker's point of view, you are probably right on the money.
