Maybe you should take the time to explain whatever this is about to your Christian Nationalist brothers in Christ, and change their minds. You have no reason to waste time discrediting the teachings of Jesus to me WRT women's rights, I'm way ahead of you...
Exactly, Brother Bill! We need to see where this goes! Maybe Hegseth will propose that we not let women carry money, or speak, or avoid wearing their veil in public. Maybe he can get women to stay in the kitchen and bedroom where they belong! Amirite? Then we can move along and decide what black people can or can't do. In order to move forwards, you have to go backwards (a century or two). Trump just wants to go back to the 1890's. Hegseth is willing to take us back to the 1910's, but maybe he can take us back to the 1850's. Who knows? Hegseth may just be trying to prove that he's more clinically insane than Vance so he can get the MAGA faithful to call on him to be the next president.
Three questions: 1) Are you a national government figure? 2) Was your incident broadcast nationally? 3) Did your incident cause half of the U.S. population to (likely) become offended?
So now these MAGA supporters want to get rid of the 19th amendment? Anything left in the Constitution they want to keep?
It certainly appears that Hegseth posted/shared it. Is it better or worse if he: Agrees with the content; Disagrees with it but posted it anyway; or posted it without even knowing what was in it?
If a gang of thugs robs a bank or your local Piggly Wiggly in Gator gear , it’s obvious that they are Noles, duh!
My analogy could have been better to illustrate the point I was making, but the point is there are lots of statements of fact that don’t make great thread titles. For example…imagine the reaction of the board if someome started threads titled: ”Pete Buttigieg is a Homosexual” or “Ilhan Omar is a Muslim” Those threads would have a pretty predictable trajectory, even though they are statements of fact. Pete Hegseth’s religious beliefs, though…for whatever reason they fall in a different category.
The thread title is actually about a pastor who thinks women should lose the right to vote, and that a high ranking govt official actually retweeted that nonsense. Your new analogies still fall flat, unless you are suggesting that depriving women voting rights is now the default Christian position - instead of limited to extremists? But if that’s the case, you must realize you are actually just proving WarDamnGators point!
Doesn't really matter what his motivations were for sharing the video. Hegseth belongs to this despicable church. That's all we really need to know about what kind of person he is.
