I've only watched one episode of Alien Earth, so maybe my assumption is off, but Spoiler: Spoiler Alert! if this series takes place before the Nostromo completed it's mission in the original Alien move, and we have so far seen that the Maginot crew in episode one were collecting xenomorphs, AND I assume those creatures will do some general public damage, how did the crew of the Nostromo not know anything about the creatures in their first encounter?
Spoiler: Spoiler Its a 2 year gap ... Alien isnt fresh, but the company directed Ash to the planet with the derelict ship, so Weyland seems to have known right? Not sure the crew would know, given they were in deep space. But I'm not clear when the Nostromo started its mission or how long they were in space prior. They were getting ready to go home, so it was the end of their mission, which I assume could have been years.
Spoiler Yea, I guess if they were out there a while, that could line up. Thanks, I look forward to the rest of the episodes.
Just watched Department Q on Netflix. Very cool, if not very disturbing, police mystery set in Scotland.
Similar to Barbarian? That film was pretty messed up. Weapons looks freaky. Maybe im just too much of parent now.
Barbarian was Wild! I wouldn’t even think of watching it unless my kids were in a different county…lol!
Just started watching Rogue Heroes, about the formation of the SAS in North Africa in WWII. Off to an interesting start.
LOVED the first season. But I haven’t been able to get the second season yet (I don’t have MGM), even though I have Showtime).
How the hell do yall have time to watch so much TV/movies??? Takes me a week if lucky, to trud my ass through a movie 1/2 hour at a time... These Netflix mini series??? Only one I made it through to date, was band of bros, and that prolly took a couple of months. (...and most of Yellowstone... but again, weeks of dedicated watching, to catch up to the last season b4 the break...). Just sayn...
I'm right there with you, with work and kids, there is barely anytime during the weekdays... And weekends are usually shot from trying to catch up on sleep missed from the weekdays... But I try to squeeze something every once in a while to watch..
Don't go to bed at 9pm? Its definitely harder to watch shows/movies when sports are happening, but late winter and summer are peak no-sports and there is an entertainment void to be filled. I think a lot of stuff can simply be enjoyed while doing other things or multitasking too.
