Looking for a roster cheat sheet. Surely they won’t hand out a program. Can’t have phones out so I can’t research real time. Any ideas? Boy is redshirting this year…high school video (he sends me practice videos but I doubt that’s legit to post)
Yea, 3 pages…was hoping to have it sorted by position instead of straight numbers…maybe I can sort it. ETA: I can sort that list…goofy looking…but the best I’ll get likely.
You can sort it by name, pos, ht, wt, class, hometown, etc, etc. 2025 Football Roster - Florida Gators
No, son is on the team. He moved out of his summer apartment, with 4 other players, and into the one bedroom he’s staying in all year…so we have some things he didn’t bring in June for him…may as well catch the scrimmage.
Yea. He’s very happy to be here. Kept asking me if I thought it was cool…but he won’t understand how cool it is to me for a couple more decades. Missed a kick today (right hash, coach said he started a foot inside and the wind moved it two) and was bummed, but the coach came over and said that’s the second kick he’s missed in 14 practices. We missed the warmup since they didn’t open the gates until 12:15, but coach said he kicked a 59 yarder that went into the stands. Was great to see him out there doing his thing. I started taking him out kicking when he was 8…so it’s just a trip to watch him do what he intended.
No Lagway, but he stood behind every offensive play full uniform and helmet, with a tall ass guy next to him describing and breaking down everything. He was attentive, grey compression thing on his leg. Offense struggled to get any space on passing routes, one of the tight ends didn’t need any and caught a couple of tight throws. Running back #21 found running room where there was none. Secondary was a problem, 102 yard pick 6 and a couple more reflex interceptions. The scrimmages are tough to watch by non-coach types, they just do random shit the whole time. They work them out well…but it’s on their own accord and they just start going the other direction or completely dissolve what they are doing instantly. The players knew what to do, but dang…I had whiplash.
Your son is living the dream! He gets to redshirt and gain strength while learning from Smack. Welcome to the Gator Nation!
That makes it sound like we are in big trouble if Lagway misses games this season but I think we kind of figured that already.
My concern remains with Lagway, yes he's progressing but it seems to me a quality qb has to have enough time to be in sync with the wr's. He had no reps during spring, and limited reps thus far without 11 on 11. Further more, he's had even less time with potential starting wr's who too have been injured. Keep in mind he is only a sophomore with not a whole lot of game experience. Like it or not there is a trend of injuries that seem to follow him which makes one wonder will he survive the toughest schedule in one piece? Will his shoulder or calf become a nagging injury? The other consideration is that he will face some of the toughest defenses whose DC's will have spent a lot of time in defending what he can do. They have film. I suspect Nap too is greatly concernedespecially since UF is expected to makesome noise. No doubt finding the rightsecond string qb is crucial. Frankly, Ithink he would love to see Jones Jremerge who gives UF more of a dualthreat.
If you are inspired to be in the playoffs and you have decent talent and not "one of those programs" designs. Game managers are quite effective in those situations. Does anyone really think Beck is worth his ranking? And likely also Stockton. But we aren't "those guys"...yet.
