No more softer on crime than the president who pardoned the thugs who assaulted law enforcement officers on January 6, 2021. I suppose that you agreed with his decision. By the way if you actually read my posts you would be aware that I bashed those Democratic politicians that tried to make excuses for the vandals, arsonists and other criminals who participated in the riots following George Floyd's death.

The "damned," crime statistics are irrelevant here, a smokescreen. The National Guard is for short-term solutions to immediate, finite problems. Like dealing with insurrectionists rioting through the Capitol building. That, they would have been perfect for.

Trump is just using the NG as props, to get more bang for his propaganda buck. What are they going to do that the DC police, the FBI, and the DEA can't do? Donald Trump, President Potemkin.

LOL. I'm no defender of trump at all. He's a POS. But good effort to try to deflect that dems are soft on crime. Simple as that. Just own it and move on.

If Biden did this to a red state they would be calling it a civil war and encouraging residents to take up arms against the tyrannical government.

I wish Trump would send the national guard into some of these Democrat ran cities here in Florida and clean them up.

As a distraction from Epstein, this may be a winner. It's frightening and sad that so many advocate and support federal intervention when it's directed against the "others."

Yes, let's militarize the entire nation (oops, we're on our way), put people in camps who many don't deserve (check do that), re-write the constitution to fit our wants and needs (trying to do that).... All Hail the Great Orange Skidmark.... May Yam Tits be forever our leader....

Yep. The crime statistics don’t include crime by the youth since they are given a free pass.

Trump is in charge of everything now, haven't you heard? The Congress, the courts, the cities, the mayors and governors, the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian--you get the idea. I don't know where he finds the time to decorate the White House like an up-scale bordello, and design his totally rational and not at all ludicrously expensive ballroom.

Yep I am sure the law abiding citizens will hate seeing out of control youth gangs not beating people up for nothing on the streets, committing murders and committing car jackings etc as much.

Ex-DOGE staffer nicknamed ‘Big Balls’ left bloodied after savage DC carjacking attempt by 10 juveniles

Do you think the proper response to crime is to call out the National Guard? That doesn't seem like a tiny overreaction? What do you think they're going to do to end this juvenile crime wave?

Crimes committed by juveniles are considered crimes for statistical purposes even if the juvenile offenders are not formally charged with committing the crimes and the crimes do not go on their records. Although this is from Google's AI it is most likely accurate:
    Terminology:
Juvenile offenses are often called "delinquent acts" to distinguish them from crimes committed by adults. This distinction is important because juvenile court proceedings are generally separate from adult criminal courts and aim for rehabilitation rather than punishment.

    Statistical Reporting:

Despite the different terminology, juvenile delinquency data is often included in broader crime statistics. For example, the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program includes juvenile arrests and offenses.

The chances are that if "Big Balls" wasn't the victim Trump would not have reacted the way that he did. There have been other serious crimes including murders committed by juveniles before the attack on Big Balls and Trump didn't react the way that he did.

These Dem run cities use all kinds of tricks to lowball their violent crime figures. What is the common thing with all these out of control crime cities? They are almost always under Democrat control.
