OP link didn’t work for me. This is a “he said, she said thing”. But, likely Schiff did leak something. FBI being weaponized against politicians won’t end well. Good luck to Kash getting Schiff. Doubt it goes anywhere.

And this is the same guy who allegedly committed mortgage fraud ala Lettuce James??? Seems California democrats are some or the worst liber-gressives there are.

 

Schiff also got a pardon. Doubt this is going anywhere other than to force Schiff to pay for some lawyers.

 

I'll preface this by saying that if he potentially committed a crime, and there's a credible allegation, it should be investigated, corroborated, and he should be charged if applicable. That being said, this seems a little far-fetched and feels a lot more like a selective declassification (legal leak) by the current Trump admin to continue to distract from other issues. Here's why I'm skeptical of this:

• Schiff is a Harvard educated lawyer and former prosecutor so I find it unlikely that he would hold a staff meeting for the purpose of committing a crime.
• The alleged context of the meeting doesn't make a lot of sense either. They would leak classified information as a pretense to initiate impeachment hearings. A leak that the Trump administration at the time would aggressively investigate to find the leaker.
• The whistleblower went to the FBI during the first Trump administration meaning this would have been investigated at the time and therefore the FBI likely didn't find the claim credible or couldn't corroborate the claim.

That being said, for this to be true, you'd have to believe that Schiff committed a very dumb crime with multiple witnesses, one that he was very likely to get caught, and the FBI buried the whistleblower claim rather than investigate it. It falls into the category of too good to be true which should make anyone skeptical - a whistleblower claim that confirms all priors about one of Trump's top enemies. Possible? Sure - anything is possible but certainly not the most likely explanation.

2017? I think I read some of the leaked anti Trump stuff. Seems like I remember pretty much every NYT story about Trump was given to them by an undisclosed source or an unidentified source close to the matter. Bet that was Schiff.
