Nobody 2021. Enjoyed this one. Caught me off guard. Different from previous suggestions…think John wick maybe.
I saw Eddington over the weekend, if you are down for Too Hot circa 2020: The Movie (or just like Ari Aster), this one is for you
Saw the new Superman, it was better than I was expecting. 28 Years Later was a good addition to the series if you like that kind of thing.
Kind of cool off topic story. Micheal B Jordan produced and directed a Netflix show David Makes Man (started out on OWN). They filmed a lot of it outside of my house. This is the bigoted neighbor scene (starts at the :53 mark) It's my house behind them. If you look quickly at the end, you can see my little fairy garden under the tree in front.
Beau is Afraid wasnt a scary movie either. The movie is good, but your enjoyment will be very much related to how much you want to get into the mindstate of 2020 again. A modern paranoia/conspiracy type movie for our times. Since there are still threads about COVID here, maybe this is the audience lol. (I'm pretty sure Gainesville, FL gets mentioned too)
Orlando area. I believe there were scenes filmed down the street from Boone High School in season one - they built housing projects there.
Hmmmm…. I saw the new Superman too. Let’s just say I did not enjoy it. We got home and turned up the speakers and watched Christopher Reeve part I and II… Had to get that weird, weak “Superman” out of my system.
Nobody 2 coming out this week. Man that first one was real nice surprise so I’ll have to see the sequel.
Both have been on my list. Finally watched Materialists. I was a bit worried with its title and your recommendation that it was going to be overly cynical. Of course it did have a running thread of commodification, but it definitely ended on a different note. Very good. Now to get to 28 years later in the next few years.
Might wait to see this one at home. Grew up on the original. The preview seemed at least a little funny.
