Which is why I support your nomination with the exception of calling you left-leaning. I suspect that you are fully capable of living up to that goal. I have always respected you and think that you would be terrific as the more right-leaning mod being added.
I never publicly question the moderation of moderators ..... but since this appears to be a thread where elements of that can be discussed; Does it seem right that to post and read threads here, one will now have to suffer and wade through a spammy barrage of commentless GIFs? This is beyond unpleasant. Doesn't seem right to me.
Ha, this is great. I like Ben’s contributions too. He’s not ludicrous. Picks weak lefty arguments to death. Poised and typically logical, although also typically technical on the legalities. But that’s fair, IMO. Wild righties: busy! But being “left-leaning” is supercharging the idea of the Overton Window. Lefties continue to bring sporks to the nuclear war fight. TBC: I actually do indeed think Ben is a good choice as a “leaner.” In fact, he’s actually the epitome of that idea. But the idea that he is on the “left” has to make Ben himself giggle, I imagine.
