I used to watch him in high school and he didn't even run away. He ran rightat the defensive backs and plowed their asses over. He was a bowling ball.
Let's hope EW3 is back in practice to be thrown to also. These repeated injuries make me nervous about how much margin for error we have for a successful season.
about Shelby's question/ post... 1) Your points are not wrong, however, we did beat 3 highly sought after coaches last year- Kelly, Kiffen, and Norvell. All have major contracts and are thought of as "A" list coaches. We were also tied w/ UGA w/ 5 minutes to go with our 3RD STRING QB in the game. It's unfair to dismiss these accomplishments and this progress. 2) But to Shelby and all others- Napier is not a Spurrier, he's not a Meyer or even Mullen. He's not an Xs and Os savant. I think he never was frankly- even when he won at Louisiana. 3) If #2 is true- then Napier was a terrible fit to take over a Mullen team. 3) But a far better question right now is... Can a team of high character, highly athletic, motivated guys be good enough to win with vanilla Xs and Os. I think so. I DO think this is the type of team that the UF admin wants- just reading between the lines.
